My wonderful DH offered a trip to WDW in January after thinking it just wasn't going to happen for a few years.

Here is my issue. I will be 7 months pregnant and it will be our DD's (she will be 21 months at that time) first trip. Now granted it would just be for a long weekend and we would most likely stay at the Poly.

Would you be able to do it? So far the pg is going very well, but I have no idea how I will be feeling in January.

The other thing is, if we don't go in January, I have no idea when we will get back there. DH says if next one is a girl we are going to have to try one more time for that boy. That could keep me away for years.

What would you all do?

get trip insurance just in case. But this comes form someone who had no problems during pregnancy.
Enjoy the time and take it slow

I'd talk to my doctor to get his/her opinion. If he/she gives the go ahead and you want to do it, go for it. Remember, if you tire easily you can always rent an ECV to tour the parks. We had a trip planned once to be there when I was 5 months pg and my travel agent recommended the ECV. I also think trip insurance is a good idea, as well as maybe not telling your DD ahead of time in case you choose to cancel.

I had a pretty easy pregnancy. Just the normal aches & pains.
As long as you don't plan on going commando in the parks (isn't that a funny visual) I think you'll be okay.
The trip insurance is a good idea if your getting the whole package. If you're doing a room only ressie, I think if you cancel 7 days out, you get a full refund. And you'll know by then!

Good luck and safe travel!

You know I'll say you should go!

In all honesty, the fact that you will likely be forced to go at a slower pace will probably make for a pretty great trip - you'll have time to enjoy the little things, have nice leisurely meals, rest by the pool. DH and I did a long weekend in January a couple years ago and it was one of my favorite trips - no crowds, nice cool weather, nice easy pace.

GO!!!!! I went when I was 7 months pregnant with DS and it was great! Granted I went in June when it was hotter than anything, but I was still fine. Just rest a lot and drink plenty of water. Also, your little cutie is the perfect age. She may not remember most of it, but will have a blast (and you'll have lots of cute pictures to scrap). Also, staying at the Poly would make it easy for you to head back to the room for an afternoon snooze if needed.

Will you be able to fly? I had a good pregnancy however in the beginning of my seventh month, I was told I couldn't fly by my doctor.

I believe some airlines have restrictions too. But hey, if you get clearance from your doctor, I say good for it. The wee one will be able to hear "It's a Small World" in uterio. Start him/her off on a good start.

You will LOVE the Poly. Great resort. You can watch the fireworks from the beach.:thumbsup2 It's one of our favorite place to watch MK fireworks.

Sa long as your DR says you can and writes you clearance to fly, I say go for it! It's a great time of year to go while preggers, less people, little to no heat. Etc... I went for 2 weeks in Dec while 6 months with DD, other than back pain, from her not WDW, I was happy as a clam. I even road rides.

And the Poly is great since you'll be on the monorail, you won't have to deal with lots of buses.

I agree with everyone! Get clearance from the MD and then book it dan-o! I'm also in a current trip drought so I'll live vicariously through everyone else!

I was having a perfect pregnancy, and then at 7 months went tot the hospital and was having contractions every two minutes. lUckily they stopped them, but I was on bedrest after that. THe soctor wouldn't let me travel past around 4 1/2 months for my next preganancy for fear it would happen again. I realize that I am not the norm here, so you have to do what you feel right.

If you can get flights, insurance and medical clearance go! If you can't, then don't because worrying something might go wrong will take out the enjoyment. You won't get to do everything, but maybe its nice sometimes to HAVE to smell the roses (or whatever's out in January;) ). And you can make the most of only having one to deal with - plus DH of course:lmao: It shouldn't be too hot - I just wish I was close enough to go for a weekend.

I should have known everyone here would say GO!!!! :lmao: It doesn't look like it is going to happen now. I have to wait until our company drops our vacation time and that won't be until January 16th. That leaves Martin Luther Weekend (all the monorail resorts are booked) or the following weekend, during which I have a company event I am "highly encouraged" to attend.

I'm just dying to go!!!! The last time I went was when I was pregnant with DD. She is now 18mo. I don't think I can wait until next December. UGH!!!!!!

UGH! I know exactly what you mean. We are now hoping to sneak in a trip in late April Early May before schools start getting out. We just figured it out last night. I'm now going to see what's open and things like that. I've only been in the fall before.

I agree, you should go. 7 months for me wasn't too bad. And the weather will be nice, which is a big deal. If you were saying 7 months pregnant in July, I'd probably tell you to stay home. Especially since you're staying at the Poly, that will really make things nice and leisurely.

Look at it this way- I'd rather spend a weekend relaxing at Disney than sitting at home.
