I guess my answer is yes and no. We traveled with our kids and found so much that we (well the kids) wanted to do at the resort that beside a grocery and Walmart run we never left the resort. We had planned a trip to a local restaurant, beach, a local art fair, and the Kennedy Space Center. With the exception of the local restaurant, we feel we should have done some more local stuff. The reality of this trip is that we eat most of meals in our condo and saved a lot of money, but didn't notice it. All of us were relaxed and having fun so it was a great vacation.
PS: We found a "hidden search quest" thingy on the grounds if you want a challenge.
