OT: V for Vendetta

I just went to go see the new movie V for Vendetta. Has anyone seen this yet? I thought it was a very good movie. From the reviews I read, It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. If you have seen it what did you think?

If it is drab, at least Natalie Portman is cute ... when she isn't bald.

I had heard that this movie was going to be controversial but it was a lot more than I expected. It was definetly a good movie and I would recommend it.

Well.. Basicly it is about a future Britain where some how the British Monarchy is completly gone and now there is a Dictator in control. The dictator uses fear to make people not question anything. There are lots of rules. Many things are banned. There is a curfew for all people. The Hero V is a terrorist that teaches people to not just buy into government. ( sound familiar) I don't want to give too much away so if you want to learn more go see it!

There is a lot more involved. This movie was made by the same directors as the Matrix. It is kind of hard to advertise something as complex as this or the matrix in a 30 second commercial. Once you see it, it makes a lot more sense.

One word to describe what I feel about V for Vendetta:

Did like the London Blowing up scene in the trailer, but other than that I haven't seen it.

This description actually sounds VERY familiar to many things, both movies and books I have read. Hmmm...
