Ot - The Amazing Race

DH and I are big fans. In fact, I have downloaded the entry forms twice but there's just no way we can take that kind of time away from our business.

We love this show too. I noticed on cbs.com that they have the usual teams, the cheerleaders, the genius brother/sister team, the mother and son team, the engaged couple that's going to see how solid their relationship is, etc. Kind of which they'd change it up a bit but I'm just nitpicking.

How about teams like Pete and Walter, Corey and Julie, Kevin and John----now that would really be an interesting show!

I see they start in LA this year and there first stop is in Switzerland where they will be bungee jumping. Should be a fun first episode.

Love the show. I keep telling DD11, :princess:, that we'll do it together one day.

I love the show too.

We always joke that we'd never make it because I get lost going to my ds away games, and that's with a GPS, Google Maps and school directions! I can't imagine what would happen in a foreign country. :rotfl2:

I love, love, love this show.:cloud9:
I have today specially marked on the calendar.

I have thought about applying for the show but I don't think I could find anyone to watch the kids while we were gone. Maybe I should just find a different partner and leave DH home with the kids.:lmao:

I would love to be on the AR. A co-worker and I sent in an application a few years ago. I thought we had the prefect team: the drop dead beautiful girl (not me) and the slightly oversized co-worker. Apparently CBS thought differently.

I have been a fan of this show since Day 1 back in in 2001! I wish I could be a contestant, but could never take that kind of time off from work, and now I have children, and frankly, am probably too old and unfit to do anything that involves running. But, I love it anyway. TAR - Disney could visit all parks in the world! (Guess it is the wrong network though...)

I thought I'd die when the cheeses went rolling down the hill. :happytv:

The cheeses were great - as was everyone sliding down the hill on their backside - and the two who didn't and showed Phil.

I love this show and have it on TIVO for tonight. :thumbsup2

Actually Amazing Race is affiliated with Disney - Bruckheimer. If you look at the rules for applying, no one employed by the Walt Disney Company is allowed to apply.

Actually, Disney is associated with TAR - Bruckheimer, same guy who did Pirates. If you read the TAR application rules, if you work for Disney you can't apply.

We LOVE the Amazing Race! Watched it tonight with the kids. My 5 yr old daughter immediately said she would want to be the one who gets to bungee jump while my 7 yr old son said no way! We've always known she's much more adventurous and willing to try anything once!

We asked them after the show if they thought Mom and Dad should do it. My son said, "No, you'd probably lose in the first week anyways." Thanks for the vote of confidence kid!

The cheese was hysterical. Those backpack things were so fragile. I loved how the Swiss locals were laughing at them.

Phil and Jeff. My Sundays and Thursdays are complete!

I though the cheese task was great. I already have a couple favorite teams. Phil signing that Luke & Mom were Team 1 brought a couple of tears to my eyes.

Phil has some great jackets / coats.

I have a feeling that if I had to stand with the Swiss yodelers.....I might have lost my mind.

Great opening show. I haven't picked my favorite team yet, it takes me a couple of shows before I have my favorite. Right now may favorites are the stunt men, followed by the older couple (I always want the older couple to do well, hmmm so figure), then the mother and son. Oh yes, and I like the brother/sister team.....well, as you can tell I haven't exactly narrowed down my favorite yet. :lmao:

Tried to catch what I could tonight.
Missed most of the show.
Darn children just don't know when to go to bed.
Next week I'll gag them if need be. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
