OT: Slimquick, caffeine free

Has anyone used this product and lost weight? I am on my second bottle and haven't lost a pound yet. I want to kick-start the weight loss process, but not with caffeine...once the first 5 or so pounds come off I feel I could better motivate myself. 20lbs is my goal. Could use some good advice, besides increase exercise and eat less, am working on those two already !!
Just trying to look and feel my best for WDW in June. Already posted on the wellness board, but no replies there.
 
Unfortunately supplements like that don't really work.If they did ,there wouldn't be such a difficult time losing weight and Oprah would be thin.Plus alot of them out there may help initially, but you tend to gain it back and then some..The only thing that works for sure is DIET and exercise.Weight loss is 80% diet related.If you haven't already, I would start keeping a food journal and measuring out your portions.SparkPeople.com is a great way to keep track.I found that I was UNDER estimating and eating well over an additional couple hundred calories a day.Drink plenty of water.Try to limit Prcessed food, Packaged foods, Refined sugars and soft drinks.EXPECTED Weight loss is about 1-2LBS PER WEEK.Some weeks more, some less and some not at all.A week is not enough time to lose anything significant, and most people that do lose a lot in that first week, LOSE WATER weight.It takes time, don't lose heart.It has taken me 6 months to lose 25 lbs, and that is workiing out 6 days a week and changing my eating to a Primal way of eating( No grains or sugars.Only Meats,fruits, veggies and limited dairy).But I struggled with my weight for years and with the onset of perimenopause, it doesn't come off as easy.Good luck.

Honestly, the only way to lose weight, be healthy about it, and keep it off is to track when you eat and move more. Are you keeping count of the calories you are eating? Are you keeping count of the amount of calories you burn during a workout? If not, I suggest you use My Fitness Pal or Spark People and do so.

Also, make sure you are getting ENOUGH calories. Running too large of a deficit can stop weight loss in it's tracks.
