OT: screen video capture for Windows 7?

Does anyone know of a free, safe program that I can install on my Windows 7 pc so my DD can record video of what she is doing (Minecraft, online games, etc) and post it to her YouTube account? I need something that can record whatever is happening on the pc screen.

I can't seem to find an easy to use program.

The gold standard is FRAPS. It supports recording, streaming, and fancier features for more advanced users.
