I know it's not Disney World, but my daughter has been asking to go back to Sea World for a while and we just had a great tragedy in our lives (I was 4 1/2 months pregnant and we lost the baby a week ago), so we are going to accomodate her for vacation this year. We have been to Sea World in San Antonio before, but we have not been to the Riverwalk, can anyone give us some tips, some restaurant suggestions...any info on the riverwalk would be greatly appreciated!! We are staying at the Drury Inn & Suites on the Riverwalk!! Oh and we are going June 13-June 17...then we are driving to Dallas and taking her to the AG store...any info or suggestions on that would be appreciated too...there, we are staying at the Westin Galleria w/the AG package!!
TIA

I am in Houston, and we love the River Walk. Make plans to go to Casa Rio on the River Walk. That is one of the oldest restraunts there, and the portions are huge for a great price and food. Less than $12 per adult.

So many things to do besides Seaworld as well. Hit the Tower at night if you can, it is a beatiful sight. You also have the Alamo, and being a born and raised TEXAN, I am very proud of this building and spend hours there. They also have a fantastic zoo.

If you need some down time just to chill, make sure and go to the mall and walk around. Lots of shops to go into.

We love the mall on the riverwalk- great disney store:lmao:.

We have not had a bad meal there lots of great mexican, some really good Italian too.

I would recommend taking the water taxi ride it is really fun but make sure you have sun screen because it is not shaded.

My kids favorite memory of going to SA when we did Fiesta Texas and Sea world was doing a carriage ride near the riverwalk :confused3. Not sure what it is called but there is an observation tower that has a revolving restaurant- expensive but neat.

Remember that SeaWorld is not close to the riverwalk so if you are mostly Theme Parking I would stay somewhere not on the riverwalk.

Have a great time- also look into Seaworld season passes right now especially if you have a credit union account I have seen passes for like 79 and they include extra discounts same as Fiesta Texas. Parks are so much cheaper then Disney that if you are going for more then 2 days it is worth it to get the pass. Some even include parking. If you get a pass at Fiesta Texas it is also good at all Six Flags since you mentioned Dallas.

My kids actually loved Six Flags in Dallas way more then Sea World at 4/6 so good luck and have a great time.

Is there really a Disney store on the Riverwalk??? I am soooooo excited b/c our Disney store here closed!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lived in San Antonio for 17 years (mostly as a kid) and now live in the Dallas area. You are going to have a great trip. I agree with the PP about Fiesta Texas especially if you have time to visit in Dallas too. Check online for season passes for Fiesta Texas. If you are from out of town, they often offer great discounts. The passes would be cheaper than single day passes to each park. Downtown near the River Walk is the Southwest Craft Center. They frequently have events for families and children that are free or very cheap. If you are a fan of outdoors and hiking, some of the most beautiful Texas state parks are within about 1 hour of San Antonio.

In Dallas, there is an ice rink in the Galleria Mall that is fun and family friendly. There are also several fun unique stores in the mall. If you decide to go to Six Flags, keep in mind that it is actually in Arlington - about 45 minutes to 1 hour away.

Have a great trip!:lovestruc

There is a Disney store at the mall on the Riverwalk. There's also an IMAX.
My kids love the Rainforest Cafe on the Riverwalk, and I second that the Casa something restuarant has excellent Mexican food.

Sorry about your loss.

You guys will love the River Walk. I believe the mall (River Center) has a Disney Store.
The tower website is www.toweroftheamericas.com. It is fun.
I don't know if any one mentioned the River Boats, your DD would like those and they have expanded the river!

Have a great trip!
