OT: "Safari Park"

My in-laws are talking about a safari "park" that is part of WDW that they say has only been open for about 18 months that 2 of their friends had been to. BTW: 1 friend love it, 1 friend hated it. (Sounds like AK to me! )

Tried to convince them it was Animal Kingdom, and they were talking about Kilimanjaro Safari. Then told them about AKL and their safari things, no deal.

So, is it AK, or is there a separate park in Orlando that is a safari park?

Sounds like your in-laws have some of their facts confused, but it does sound like AK to me. I don't think there is another 'safari' park anywhere in Orlando. They do have a safari thing at Busch Gardens (all the way in Tampa), but that isn't new at all, and Kilimanjaro is at AK.

I think there is also a RETIRED BIG GAME park close to orlando....could be what they were talking about

Your in-laws sound like my father-in-law, king of malapropisms. My in-laws tagged along with us last May. Going into Epcot, he wanted to use SpeedPasses to ride Fast Track, Mission to Mars, and Ellen's Energy Universe. At Magic Kingdom, he insisted he was on Thunder Mountain Splash about 10 years ago. The Haunted House was a favorite of his, and he enjoyed taking my 5 year old son on Buzz Killjoy and Goofy's Barnburner. He wanted to eat dinner at The Chart House, and when we got to Columbia Harbour House he insisted we were at the wrong seafood restaurant in Disney World (because, after all, to him the name of the Magic Kingdom is "Disney World"). And then there was the night he wanted to eat dinner at "that Florida hotel next to Disney World, you know, the white Victorian one that the monorail runs through." It was a long week ....
