Is anyone having issues with the DVD in the combo pack pausing during the song "we are almost there" and "Down in New Orleans and at the end during the fireworks. I am on my second DVD from this set and it is doing it again.

If you have just the DVD pack, is it doing it on yours.

I am trying to figure out if we just have a bad batch here in town or if it is a real problem.

I didn't have problems during the movie, but it gave us trouble when it started. It never went to the menu, just straight into the previews. I chalked it up to our old DVD player, but maybe it is a bigger problem.

I think this is by design now. I noticed it with a DVD a few weeks ago. Something called "FastPlay". It said "The DVD along with a set of preselected features will play automagically." Which means, you HAVE to watch these previews!

It wasn't the FastPlay thing. The DVD kept spinning in the player like it was having trouble reading it.

I'm not having trouble w/ songs... but my dvd skips from the moment she is going to head out onto the balcony to where the frog recognises the book and then stops just afer he asks for a kiss. When you hit fast foreward it will go to the scene where they find out the frog has escaped. We have tried two dvd's and both of them do the same thing. We have an older DVD player but it is a good one and hasn't had any trouble w/ any other DVD. Is this some issue w/ the DVD? Is anyone else having the issue?

I had this happen on Wall-E, Princess on the Frog, and a Bug's Life.

So, I did a ton of research online in technology forums and it seems as if this problem is very common depending on the blu-ray player itself.

Apparently, the way Disney encodes the data on the disc is causing minor problems for some players (I have a Samsung). Posters on these tech forums say that higher-end models don't have the same issues.

Well - I don't have a higher-end model (and won't) so I guess I'm stuck; pun intended. :)

But I didn't buy the blu-ray... this happened on the regular DVD.

it was on my a DVD, I Bought the blueray pack, but don't have a Blue ray player. (I just don't want to get caught when we upgrade sometime, like I did when when left the land of VHS)

BTW the third package, DVD worked fine.

We got just the DVD, and played it this weekend in our 10 year old DVD player. No issues at all. I guess we were lucky. Hope you can find a solution!

I pre-ordered it on Amazon, and received an email from them stating that the shipment would be delayed for an unknown time. They gave me the option of canceling the charge or putting the balance on a 'gift card'.

I've never seen that before.

:confused3
