Prayers and well wishes from our family to all of you. I sat by the hospital bed of one of my sons who had injuries to every one of his internal organs. His recovery was slow-going, but he is as good as new now. We will pray for good results and great health ahead, and for God's comfort throughout it all.

Last year, I asked for prayers here for a good friend's grandson, who was undergoing a lung transplant. Many responded, and he did beautifully. I am praying for the same outcome for your precious nephew and your entire family. Please keep us posted.

Well the prayers are working!

I just got off the phone with one of my sisters. Evan's blood counts are stable (my understanding is this is very good and means that he is no longer bleeding from the laceration...at least not as much as he was). Also, they have managed to clear his chest of the fluid build up (he was not taking deep breaths due to pain and having to keep very still). The blood counts dropping and the fluid build up was what sent him back to the PICU last night.

No details this am...when one of my sisters called to check this morning, Evan's parents were sleeping...we are assuming that is a good thing. She will call when she gets any details.
