OT-Prayers for my Nephew

I have been reading the updates on Evan, I am so glad he is doing so much better. Hope he will be well enough for them to join you in disney. No better place to recouperate.

I talked to Evan's Mom again last night.

He is WALKING! (not far, but walking)

They are going to reposition his chest tube today, because he still has fluid that is not draining with the position of the current chest tube. But, with him up and moving, all of that should be working out. The first time they put the tube in, they told her it would be in a minimum of 3-5 five days before they took it out. I think that had her a little depressed, as I think they were hoping to leave the hospital sooner rather than later. But, she knows that he is getting better with each passing day, so she is happy!

They were all a little tired yesterday, as they had a stream of visitors. One of our neices had a birthday party yesterday, and everyone took turns going visit them after the party. (not enough room in the room for all of our family )

Thanks again, and please keep the prayers coming for him to continue the speedy recovery!

Lynn - thanks for keeping us updated ! It's sooo exhausting for everyone when a family member is in the hospital - thank God for large, supportive families !! Our prayers continue for a full (and fast!) recovery for Evan!!

Evan's Mom just called me.....

WOOHOO!!!! EVAN IS GOING HOME THIS AFTERNOON!!!!!!!



Thanks to everyones kindness and prayers!

She sounded so happy...almost giddy!! They took the chest tube out this morning and his chest xray was good, so they are sending him home to continue to recover...he will most likely still be a little restricted on activites, since it will take time for the hematomma to go down...they don't really care at this point...they just want to be in their own home.

Thanks again everyone!!! you all are the BEST!
