Hi, this is a bit off topic but I think the best forum to find the info I am searching for since most of you are from Canada.

We are going on our yearly trip to Whitelake Canada. We want to stay at 1000 Island Canada on the way up. Does anyone know any nice/inexpensive places to stay as well as what to do or good places to eat?

Bolte casle is on our to do list.

When we stay in Kingston, Ontario we stay at the Embassador. It's got a nice indoor pool area with giant 2-story slide and splash pad and eucalypus sauna and regular sauna and two spas. It's awesome! The rooms are nice and the price is pretty good. For eats, we really enjoy Tir Nan Og in the Prince George Hotel by the water. It's an Irish pub with yummy eats. Don't miss the Causeway! It's HAUNTED! Lots of HAUNTED places in Kingston, that's why we go! Blessings, Sandra

If you're into that stuff, I hope you've done the two Haunted Walks!!

(Oh, and it's actually the Ambassador, just in case you need to look it up!) :goodvibes

If you are doing Boldt Castle than a good place to stay might be Gananoque since that is where the boat cruises leave from that take you to the castle. It is a very nice trip, very beautiful! I think I remember there being a holiday inn express in the town, and a great place to eat is Moroni's. It has great Italian/Greek food. It is a very popular restaurant in the summer. Enjoy your trip!

We went to Gananoque a few years ago. The Thousand Islands Casino is lots of fun. We also rented a boat and explored a bit. Kingston is nearby so we drove there too.

We stayed at the Glen House resort which I DO NOT recommend. It was quite expensive and the room was dirty and moldy. There was even a urine stained bedspread on the bed :scared:
