Specifically the Peg Perego P3 or any other stroller, does anybody know anything about this company. I looked for reviews for this particular stroller and they are so hard to come by (not many). Overall, how good are their products? They place the Peg Perego strollers right next to the McClarens at Babies R US...

Hi,
After much research and "test drives" in stores, we bought the Peg Perego Aria for our son in Fall 2002 (he was born in Jan. 03). We LOVE the fact that is is so lightweight. It is very easy to close and maneuver. At times, we wish it had a cup holder (our model doesn't have a child tray on it, but I believe most of the newer ones do). We also have a double stroller (can't remember the model) that is Peg Perego too. I bought it from a yard sale but it is compatible with the Peg Perego car seats we already had and the same print as the Aria we had.
Although I haven't owned the one you mentioned, I think most of the Peg Perego strollers are lighter than the other big name strollers.
The best thing to do is to take them for "test drives" in stores. Practice putting it up and down and really try to get to know the pros and cons.

Hope this helps!
Amy

We have the P3 and I love it. Folds up pretty small for a full-size stroller (fits through the x-ray machine at the airport with no trouble) and is pretty light weight. Our son is now 16 months old and so far he has always been very comfortable in it and there is plenty of room for growth. The full recline was great when he was really little. It also has a little platform on the back where he could stand and ride if we ever have #2 who will need the seat part.

We also got the Peg infant carseat which is easy to use with the P3.

I have always bought (twice) the Graco Metrolite. However, before our last Disney trip, I bought a Maclaren for my DS4. It was cheaper than renting the stroller at the park. It is very lightweight and they stand behind their products.

I have heard of a lot of people near me switching to Maclaren because PP doesn't stand behind their products and they have trouble with the wheels.

Anyway, the Maclaren holds up to 55 lbs, which when you are going to Disney and you have an older child it goes the distance. During the year, I always reach for that stroller first for my DS2. Good luck!

I have a Peg single stroller and LOVE it. It's the Pliko P3 and it's and awesome stroller. All the comfort of a full size stroller but it folds down like an umbrella. Probably one of our best purchases ever! Pegs are awesome strollers!!!!

I absolutely loved my Peg Perego P3! I had it for DS who is now 4. It was just perfect for everything I needed it for. We took it to the mall, on vacations, etc... It was light and folded so easily umbrella style. When DS was a baby DD was able to ride on the back on the pedals it has. This was such a great feature for our trips to WDW. It reclined, had a basket, cup holder, water proof canopy. Also the canopy covered the whole seat when it was upright. It had a handle to carry easily. It strolled so easily, had adjustable handles for DH. Also it held a lot of weight and DD was able to hop in it when we were at WDW and she was tired. I would recommend it to anyone and have to all my friends! I also had the matching car seat that snapped right into the stroller!

We now have a Mac Triumph for DS mainly for WDW trips. It is so great and I love it for the age my DS is now. It strolls easily, reclines, has a basket, canopy and folds umbrella style. But for a baby I like the Peg P3 for all the options it has and I love the look.

OK so I feel so much better now. Any other reviews are welcome.

My DH is in love with the P3 and he drives it around everytime we go into Babies R US. He folded it down and opened it back up. He likes it because it's not so heavy, doesn't look like it takes up a lot of car room and it's narrow.

What I love about the P3 is the colors :rotfl: it comes in (orange, soft green and others). What I don't like about it is that it doesn't have cup holder or a mommy organizer in the back AND the price is so hefty! I can't remember if the handles come out far or not, but I have a bad back so if I have to bend over I won't be able to use this stroller. :(

The no cup holder is a pain. I actually think mine came with a cup holder but our first trip to Disney it broke off on the airplane. You can buy an aftermarket cup holder and the organer thing for the back.

The price for a Peg is high. I didn't even tell dh how much when I bought it. But it was so worth it for me. Before buying it I was lugging around this monster size Graco that was beating up the back of my car when I tried to throw it in there. We used it from 5 mos (when we bought) up with dd and have used it since ds was born. My dd can stand on the back when we go on walks. We LOVE this stroller. 100% worth every penny we spent on it. I think even my dh would agree. Sounds like your dh is 100% onboard so let him buy his toy!!! I only wish my hubby had been as "in" to the baby gear!

Our Peg had a cup holder and the handles were adjustable. Check out this info from their site, it does come with what I thought, cup holder and adjustable handles!

Maybe the cup holder on the sample in the store broke off ??? Someone else mentioned that their broke off too. Plus that cup holder just doesn't look like it can fit a large cup. Blah! I'll have to look for an aftermarket system for the back.

I have a 6+ year old Peg Perego Pliko (now the P3). If you are looking for a stroller that lasts, it has been great from newborn to toddler to preschooler. If you think that the price is high, average it over the years. Also, check web sites for better prices. Here is a web site that I often see mentioned http://www.albeebaby.com/pegpe20plp3s.html and free shipping.

For aftermarket, check this out http://www.carryyou.com/

Enjoy!

Our P3 is going to make its 4th trip to WDW in August. I bought this stroller almost 5 years ago for our first trip with 2 kids. DH groaned a little about me buying *another* stroller (it was almost an addiction) and this is seriously the last stroller I have bought. Not to mention it's DH's favorite as well. I just love having the steps on the back for an older sibling who has outgrown the stroller. If you need to have them corralled or move really quickly through a crowd, it's invaluable. I used this stroller and a sling on our last trip when the kids were 4.5, almost 3 and 8 months. If you've got your DH's support, by all means buy it! You'll be glad you did when you really easily fold it up to get on WDW transportation as well as when you push it in the parks.

We have a peg perego tandem XL (I think that is the name - it is a 2 seater) and I love the thing! We went into Babies R Us with the intention of buying a Graco dual glider, but they had the peg perego floor model on clearance. It is very lightweight and folds very easily. We have outgrown it, but I'm having a hard time giving it up because I LOVED it so much - it was a dream to push and very lightweight.

Another happy Peg Perego P3 owner here! One thing that I love about this stroller that I haven't seen mentioned here yet is that this stroller will stand up when folded. It really helps on the bus and in hotel room and even at home. I did purchase the transport bag for use on the airplane. I purchased mine at albeebaby and had great service from them on this purchase and another purchase as well.

The only thing I'm not happy with about this stroller is that the canopy tends to pop off the stroller.

I absolutely love my P3, I bought the matching infant car seat also, we took our 6 week old baby to disney last october and it was awesome to have that stroller, it folds up compactly, is lightweight and fully reclines for sleeping, also the hood on it is very large so it was great for blocking the sun since my baby couldn't use sunscreen yet, if I had to name one negative it would be that you can only access the basket from the front and its kind of hard to get to. I also bought the matching diaper bag that clips on the handles and bag to keep it all in, this helped at the airport when I gate checked it. It was pricey but one of the best purchases I made for baby products.

I absolutely love the Peg Perego products. Curretly I have the A3, P3, and the Pliko lite. As you can tell I have a stroller addiction. I would have to disagree with the OP about PP not standing behind their products. I live in NYC so strollers are very important to our daily life. I have also owned Maclarens in the past and I still think that Peg Perego strollers are better.
Both companies will service your stroller if needed, which is great.
But, everyone has a diffrent opinion. So my advice to you would be to check the strollers out first in person if you can and then decide for yourself.

Another plus for the PP strollers are the rain covers just zip right on to them.
Good Luck hope this helped.

I also have the PP P3 and love it!!! It will be going to disney with us this Nov., even though, ds will be 4 then - he still loves riding in it and we think it will be great for napping instead of going back to the campground everyday. Love the way it folds up for easy transporting. :thumbsup2

.....We actually have 7 strollers for just one baby currently (don't ask LOL) :scared1: and 3 of those are Peg P3's and a Maclaren Quest. We brought the 1st P3 to WDW last Fall for our then 3 month old and just bought a newer P3 for this year's trip. LOL It's prettier! :lmao:

.....It is nice because it folds compact and has a great shade (plus we add a Rayshade for extra protection) and is just easy to use at WDW. We originally bought the Mac Quest for last year's trip but decided on a P3 instead because our DD was still tiny. The poor Quest still sits unused. LOL :rolleyes1

.....We also have a Chicco 6WD, Quinny Zapp (awesome stroller), Peg Perego Domani, and a Fisher Price Infant to Toddler stroller (another great stroller although I still want a Bugaboo). A few need to be moved out. LOL :)

I just bought a PP P3 for my 2 year old and we love it! We've been through many strollers and this is by far our favorite. We'll be taking it to Disney with us in September.
