Ok, this is a would you do it thread??
My DD will be 16 next year. I told her we will take a mother/daughter trip anywhere she wants to go. (DS is going out West with DH). Gulp, Paris came up in the conversation. Years ago, I went to Paris and loved it! She is in her 4th year of French and really loves the subject.
I am just so afraid of travelling that far with just DD. We usually travel as a family, so this is a big stretch for both of us. I am a little concerned from a safety standpoint - two females with limited knowledge of a very large city!
So, would you take your DD to Paris?

as with all cities stick to the main tourist areas and you will be fine.
I have been to Paris 2 times this year. Once with my sister and BIL and once with my husband, and daughters (1 year, 4 years). There were only 2 times that I felt uncomfortable. The main strip felt very safe to me and the art museums were all amazing!
