WOW! The what a coincidence (or something greater) DH and I have a daughter together, but just today were discussing the possibility of adoption. I honestly don't know how to begin, but I just find it so incedibly interesting to find this thread. It sounds like lots of happy families out there.

livndisney.. I would really appreciate any help. We have been doing a little research on the internet, but quite honestly it is a little overwhelming. This is so exciting.
I am in the midst of a 2 plus year adoption of a baby girl from Ethiopia. I got a referral August 21 and am just waiting for a court date to go bring her home. She is currently about 6 months old.
We have a WDW trip planned for next September. I can't wait for either!
I also have a 4 yr old bio daughter (who is still not so sure about the sharing thing )
My girls were born in Guatemala and have been with us since they were 3.5 months old and 8 months old. They are 5 and 4 now. We'll actually be at Disney for dd#1's gotcha day anniversary!
We have 2 children thru the miracle of adoption.
both thru DHS. DD came home at 14 months old. DS came 3 years later (from same bio mother) at 36 hours old. They are now DD 11 and DS 8 They have been to Disney every year since they came into our family. Thats when we decided to buy into DVC.
We have two bio kids (boy:8, girl:5) and our little one came home at 14 months (domestic adoption in Canada) (she is now 4!) The kids love disneyland and have been a number of times but and we are taking on WDW in Jan. can't wait.
Our children were adopted from South Korea. Eleven years ago today, ds (3 months old) was placed into our arms for the first time! We are going out to eat tonight to celebrate his Adoption Day. Dd's arrival was in 3/99 and she was 6 months old when she came home.
Our DD, now 5 was adopted locally. We saw her for the first time when she was 9 days old and brought her home at 1 month. She has been to WDW 14 times, DL once and the cruise 3 times.
Just wanted to jump and add one more family to the list. My partner and I just adopted our son in September. He came home to us through domestic adoption at 6 months. Thankfully the entire process only took about 9 months and we are glad to have him with us. Our first trip will be next fall and I cant wait to see if face when we get there.
We are in the process of adopting a son from Vietnam. We have a bio DD8, bio DS5, and a bio DD2. We have felt a strong desire to adopt and we have a heart for orphans. In fact, we just got home on 11/12 from a two-week trip to work in an orphanage in Xinayang, China. It was life-changing.
We fell in love with the kids there.
I was really excited to see this thread started. Thank you.
We have a bio son, age 6, and a Korean Princess, age 4! Being the crazy people we are, we went to Disney World 3 weeks after her arrival. Now that we live here, people call her "Princess" all the time. Her response is always an incredulous "how do they know?"
I don't want to hijack this thread but can someone PM or e-mail me more info on adoption. Search engines are so overwhelming.
We really want a daughter under the age of 5. We can't afford it right now but I'm a firm believer of prayer and if it's meant to be, I think it'll happen!
