Hope you have a good night's sleep.
Hope you have a good night's sleep.

just need to set a day to go

Oooh you lucky thing Nikki! Any ideas yet about when you'd like to go?

Good afternoon everyone
Its all sounding good Nikki![]()
Afternoon, how are you today?
Im not too bad thanks - Im just having a lazy afternoon. Hows work going? Any news on your transfer?
that is until I get my transfer which they are still trying to chase up

although I will lose out as more NI, Tax & pension will be taken
I thought the storyline was lovely but v sad and also too much for a child as you say (I know it's not nec a childs film end of, but even the likes of Toy Story has an adult slant to it but a child can follow it fairly easily). I also thought it v scary in parts - wish I'd known as I think I would have put off taking her. Also, think the 3D spooked her a little as she just couldn't get her head around it - so all in all, not a great trip!!
We'd prob just do day trips though if we did that. At the moment, Eurostar just doesn't work at all for us without stop overs in London which a) add to the cost and b) with a 4 yo and baby just doesn't = happy trip!Evening all
We took DD1 to see UP yesterday Sonya. Tbh she didn't like it - she cried at parts in partic the dogs and Munst who even for an adult were ferocious/scary. It's a shame as it's the first time we've taken her to the cinema so we were hoping she'd love it - she's also a real softy and at one point said 'I want to go home this film is too sad'I thought the storyline was lovely but v sad and also too much for a child as you say (I know it's not nec a childs film end of, but even the likes of Toy Story has an adult slant to it but a child can follow it fairly easily). Nikki - see you've done day trips before. Can I ask how you got there and how you found it? DH is possibly transfering to London next year which means we'd have a base in London, we will go and visit him and then could get the EurostarWe'd prob just do day trips though if we did that. the dogs did scare her too, luckily she laughed her *** off when the ferocious dog had that squeaky voice. i even dont laugh at me shed a teeny tiny tear at one point near the end. when he opened ellies adventure book again
we really enjoyed it but i think the story line was quite confusing. there was a bit too much going on there for small kids. still a lovely film. im glad we saw it. i think ash will much prefer the princess and the frog though.
My 3D glasses almost steamed up
I loved the storyline - so sweet. Just didn't really think it was a film for very young children which surprised me as I thought it would be being Pixar/Disney.
Nikki - by next year DD2 will be 2 yo and tbh if we are staying in London anyway I think we could manage a Eurostar day trip. DD1 would be no issue - she's as easy going as an old pair of shoes! It's DD2 who tends to be the madam - I think, eventhough it would be a long day for them, they'd manage OK. I guess we'll see. At least going on Eurostar the journey is v straightforward as opposed to flights and then transfers etc which is what we are used to now.
Sonya - I cried too - when Ellie died I was sooo sadMy 3D glasses almost steamed up

I too fancy Toy Story 2 in 3D and I know DD1 would love that as she has the DVD. And don't get me started on Princess & the Frog - it has a Princess in so is a MUST for DD1
Right, am off to bed, night all!

I had to stop and by and tell y'all something! Robert and me are getting the keys to our new house this weekend!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Sadly, I'm also unemployed as of Friday... My contract is up....
