OT: Noise Reducing Headphones??

I ended up getting some skull candy headphones on Black Friday. James LOVES them. He thought $25 was expensive for them and then I told him that was with 60% off.

I use these at the gym because I can't stand listening to the gym's awful music while I'm trying to listen to a podcast! They shut everything out and work pretty well even with the sound off. The price was just down to $50 a couple of days ago, but I see they've raised it again.

I have the Bose. The second ones - the ones that cover your ear. I like the "cover your ear" aspect, but that's me. They work nicely.

But I forgot them once and bought a pair of Sony ones for like $50-60...and that's IN the airport. They're probably less if purchased in any other place. The music wasn't quiteas clear - I'm sure a few notes were missed - but it was totally fine. And since I heard NO noise and perceived no difference in noise-cancelling (Sony v Bose), I'm going to say that the noise cancelling was just as good.

If I had it to do over again, I'd just get the cheapo Sony ones...but I still use the Bose ones, lol.

Yea they do block outside noise really well.
