But now that you mention it,
ntsammy5 .... if my ever faltering memory serves, seems like it was your sister that mentioned it before.

You mean she's never taken you there? Better fix that next time you're down! (sorry, Deb!)
I've never been to Shula's, but I have been to Texas de Brazil. TdB is the most
incredible restaurant I've ever been to. It's not one of those "fancy-schmancy" places that you have to hold your pinkie finger just so in order to "belong" there. It is up-scale in the decor - but you can go in shorts & sandals & be comfortable. What is incredible is the food - and the fact it is all-you-can-eat. The have a
gi-normous salad bar with items you just don't see on most salad bars, such as 8 or 9 different types of sliced smoked sausage, raw veggies indiginous to South America but that I've never seen or heard of here, wonderful cheeses, shrimp...well... lots of stuff! They also had the best Crab Bisque I've ever tasted & rolls and breads that were quite unique. And that was just the salad bar!! Then, several gauchos are continually roaming around the restaurant with skewers of lamb, pork roast, filet mignon, sirloin roast, and they will keep piling as much of these intems on your plate as you can eat. They bring plates of mashed potatoes that are wonderful - but I couldn't tell you what spices or herbs they put in them, and the times we've been there they also served grilled brocolli. Yes, you read correctly - GRILLED brocolli. It was over the top!
Yes, it is higher priced than what we normally spend ($55/person) but it is definitely someplace we go to once a year or so. Reservations are pretty much a must. If you want to go somewhere truly different when you're at the Fort - this is the place to go. I'd rather spend the bucks at TdB than spend a similar amount at HDDR or PR.
When NTSammy5 comes here, he loves to spend time at FtW or Epcot - those are his happy places. Mebbe next time I'll convince him that there are other places around the area besides WDW and we'll go to TdB. Oh yeah, we did take him to B.D.'s Mongolian Grill in Lakeland last time he was here - and he enjoyed it!
Now - back to the OT - the steakhouse near FtW that you are probably referring to is Lone Star Steakhouse. It's very similar to Outback.
