OT - Need your help!

Hey everyone! I know this is very off topic but I am in need of a lot of help. I am a high school teacher in Concord, NC. We currently have a 9th grade student enrolled that is battling cancer for the THIRD time. He just had his bone marrow transplant a few days ago and everyone is hoping for a full recovery. The reason I want your help is because this is an AMAZING young man. He has decided to collect pennies so that he can complete 100 Random Acts of Kindness 100 days after his transplant. The students and I have been so inspired by this young man that we have started a campaign to try to get Chris West (the student) recognized by Ellen Degeneres. We have started a very large twitter campaign by tweeting Ellen and using the hashtag #getChrisonEllen every chance we can. If you could take a moment of your time to help him out we would love it. I know that the DISboards are full of caring and wonderful people and I really thought this would be a good place to try to reach out for help. Here is a list of things you can do to help, anything you can do is appreciated:

1) If you'd like to send pennies or even just a card to Chris you can send them to - PO Box 5244, Concord, NC 28027 (Chris has requested that you send a suggestion of a random act of kindness for him to use the money for if you send pennies)

2) Message Ellen on her Facebook page and encourage her to take note of how amazing Chris is

3) Find #getChrisonEllen and retweet some of our messages or send your own to @theEllenShow. (my twitter name is @ashleymrush, you can see some of our tweets on my feed)

4) Contact Chris yourself and send him warm wishes and prayers. His twitter is @Chris_crew1 and his Facebook page is Chris's CREW
