Hurray, I reached 1000 posts!

I was hoping to celebrate it with certain people online, but as that doesn't seem to be able to occur until at least Monday, I thought I'd celebrate anyway.

I'm celebrating here because this thread represents a huge number of my posts, so I thought it more suitable to go here. I'll post a smaller one as a new topic afterwards!

So, here's to my first 1000 posts and here's to the next thousand and beyond!

I was hoping to post it when all the regular posters in this thread who've driven it to 120+ pages and given me cause to make the number of posts I had. So, I was waiting for: you, Mrs Tigger, Bob and Emma.

Other people have helped and come and gone (so I've not forgotten them and they're certainly not excluded from my celebrations , but 75%+ of this thread originates from the 4 of us)

Unfortunately, Mrs Tigger hasn't appeared and is off to Wales tomorrow, so I'll give up on the waiting idea - I can't not post on the DIS until Monday, I'll go insane

Mrs Tigger takes her laptop with her!! She'll probably be online at some point soon!!

And Emma was on facebook about half an hour ago, and she said she was just going to bed......... I'm sure she'll be online tomorrow........

I used to stay up later than that on Myspace when I first started chatting to Robert..... I recall 5am being a regular bedtime when I had to get up for school at 8!

I probably used to do similar things when I was younger except there wasnt such things as internet, Email, facebook, mobile phones etc

Letters to DH (before he was DH) in the yr we were apart used to be sent by snail mail virtually every day

I was hopeless before Robert moved in!! I used to ring him every half hour and not say anything! He'd be like: "Why've you rang me??" And I'd be like: "Just to know you're there!"........ When we started going out together, near the start of the relationship, we had to spend a month apart for the exam season (His degree level, mine A level) and it was hell!!! Poor bugger never gets out of my sight now!!

WHAT! No internet, email, mobile phones? However, did you cope?

Not DISing until 2:30 just shows that you're more sensible than we are...

It was about 1:45 by the time I got my head down on the pillow and I'm paying the price for it now...
