Talking of steam trains we have that love in my family too. My uncle (grandads brother) was a steam train driver on the Keightly and Worthvalley railway many years ago and as a child I would regularly go on the plate with him (that would so not be allowed for a child this day and age!!) My parents now they have retired volunteer on the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway. The stations on their line have been used in TV stuff. Grosmont was used as Hogwarts station in the 1st Harry Potter film and Gothland is the village where Heartbeat is filmed. My dad did the steam train driving thing there for his 60th birthday and they started to volunteer there after that so my dad gets to ride in the engine for free now. In fact now they have retired they spend more time on the railway than they do at home!

We just got back from the Bellagio in Las Vegas yesterday and in the conservatory there the current theme was a tribute to American locomotives. They built a steam engine out of a hedge!
