OT: Lime Green Mickey Heads

I've seen reference to these, but what are they and what do you use them for? Not that I can get them anyway. But you know I like all the answers

They are paint chips in the shape of Mickey heads from Home Depot. Dis'ers put their DIS name on them and attach them to the stroller/bag they are carrying at the parks so other DISers recognize them.
Sometimes when at their hotels, they put them on their door or windows..
I have hard that some DISers exchange them when they meet.

I haven't gotten any because there are no Home Depots near me..without a drive... maybe before our next trip.

Also, I believe the correct color is Space Alien Green...but don't quote me on that... that could have been the closes color somebody found at one point or another too...

PN96- Do you need me to mail you some? I am5 minutes from Home Depot and they are in the same shopping center as the Target so.... usually there at least once a week.

I'm heading to DLP in April (once DH lets me book it - he keeps saying "wait for a good deal" ) so if you could pop some in the mail that would be brilliant. No rush! How do you get your name on? Sharpie marker?

Mazda- No problem next Time I am in the shopping center I'll pick some up. Do you by any chance know the amiling rate for a letter from US to UK? I have an 80 cent stamp lying around from when my freidn was studying in england, but I do not know if that would still get a letter size envie there. Please let me know. Thanks

I think it depends on weight and thickness as much as size, so you might find it clicks over to the next level. Marlynn had a problem with some tags she was sending me for the CJ, so its probably safest to get the PO to weigh it - take your 80c stamp and they can just add the difference (no sense it lying around to get lost like mine always do ). There's honestly no rush so please don't make a special trip.

Now I need to get my sister a very nice birthday present so she will let me play with her laminator

i also used ours as luggage tags and it worked out great! everyone in the world has the same red luggage as us, so when they came out of the shoot and around that thing it was so easy to spot ours as they had a big green laminated mickey head on them. i can't tell you how many people commented on it and asked me where i got them! i loved them!

I won't make a special trip (no offense) I am jut sure to be there sometime between now and the weekend..... sometimes you would think Target is our second home and that we just hand all our money over to them. I need to get potting soil anyway so Home Depot really isn't even me detouring in the shopping center my little plants need new soil LOL

Yep DH and are are notorious Target shoppers.... I have to remember in my "other" coat I have a five dollar GC though. IT was one of those buy this DVD now and get a GC. Anyway.....

Ps Dh went to walmart for the garbage can so I guess they don't get ALL our money LOL

You are right PrincessNancy96 they are called Alien Green. I have a few of them waiting to be used. DH and I have used them for name tags and are planning on using them as luggage tags and put on the door to our hotel room at POP.

Mazda- I've had your mickey heads in DH's car since last saturday.... remembered to pull themout finally so should go postal this week. I grabbed 12 is that good or should I hold of on mailing and "raid" one more time???/

I have no idea how many I'll need - one to label each member of the party plus their bags is 10, so that gives me 2 to mess up Is that usual or do people use them for other things?
