I'm not looking to sell, but rather a possible career change.

My mother was a successful agent for many years, before she passed away (but that was years ago).

I've always had an interest, know the market fairly well, have a great background in terms of transferable career skills, etc.

But I want to know more before I make the possible leap and/or commitment to such a career change.

Any agents out there willing to give me some guidance?

I've worked in real estate for 9 years, not an agent, but a personal assistant to one of the busiest teams in the Hamilton region. What exactly do you want to know?

orea.com has all the info you need on taking the courses.

The market is iffy at the moment. Was really down but mortgage rates are driving it right now. Just checked stats today & May & June are way up from last year. Doesn't take long to get your licence but it's very expensive. Not just the courses but paying all the fees once your licenced. I work for RE/MAX & their fees are really high for agents, but splits are all different for different companies.
