I was going to put togther a package for my two teen age nices for an up coming trip to Alaska. I thought about giving them gift cards for in the air port, candy but not sure what else. any suggestions would be great! Thank you.

Candy and gum are good ideas. If they are like most teenagers, they will probably use an IPod or MP3 player. You could always get them a couple of handheld games. You can get classic games like Yahtzee or Battleship, or many other varieties in the toy section of WalMart for less than $10 each. It's amazing how much time you can kill playing these games.

A couple of cool teen magazines
a note pan and a few cool color pens to doodle
A pillow so they can snooze!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the candy idea!!

ear phone and the ipod are great too.

Both of my kids get a new CD before every trip...they listen to it over and over and then usually switch with each other and listen to the other CD.
Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Next time we go to Disney, I'm planning on getting a few things to keep me (13) occupied. I was thinking about getting a couple of magazines and not reading them until I'm on the plane, the same with a book. Other stuff I might do is get myself (or rather, have my mom get me) a journal-type book and some funky pens, such as gel pens or colored pens; put some new music on my iPod the night before the trip that I can only listen to when I'm on the plane; Buy 1 new game for my gameboy, seeing as the games are so expensive; or get a sudoku book or a puzzle book to keep me occupied. Handheld games are a great idea too. I like the candy/gum thing also.

I normally take my daughter (13) to the bookstore and tell her two thing:

1) Here's $20
2) You're carrying whatever you buy, keep it light.

This way, if she wants a new CD to rip to her MP3 player or a book or two books and a magazine, etc. Of course, some of our trips are extremely long (20+ hrs.).

Thank you all so much Ive put togther a care package of gift cards, candy cds and some magazines. Hope this helps keep them busy!

Nail polish pens or those new press and trim nail enamals from avon. It would have to be a pen or the enamals. FAs get so ticked with open bottles on nail polish. Also hand held games that can be two player is best. My sis and I had a battle ship showdown last time. Try salvation army for them dicounted.
