OT...HELP, I need some Pixie Dust!!! Another Update #28

 :cool1: HOORAY!!!! :wizard: more pixie dust for the trip home from Germany!! Thanks to your DB for serving our country!!:yay:

Have to agree with the other military spouses, when my hubby got home he didn't want to be at a large gathering/ party etc. He just wanted to be with the kids and myself. Maybe you could have the party next week-end after giving him some time to rest and get re-adjusted. Good luck!

HE'S ON HIS WAY...HOORAY!!!

BE SURE TO THANK HIM FOR SERVING HIS COUNTRY FOR ALL OF US!! :lovestruc

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! Someone up there must have heard because we are actually leaving at 6:00pm tonight to drive down to Baltimore to pick him up! :yay: Like many of you said it was literally a wait and see game, we didn't know until this morning if he was still coming home tonight so as long as nothing happens with his flight from Germany he should be boarding right about now and will hopefully be on time.:cheer2: I'm so excited, I can hardly wait to get down there and see him!!!:yay: Thanks again and I will be sure to pass along all of the appreciation!:grouphug:

glad to hear he's finally on a plane! Just to warn you, that flight from Germany is notoriously late. They pack on as many spouses/family's as they can. Aggravates me no end when guys that are just out of Iraq or Afghanistan are forced out of aisle seats because some spouse insists she MUST sit 4 or more across the row with her kids and her spouse. I can see a parent traveling alone with kids, but if the spouse is there (and has no hidden issues that prevent helping with kids) then split up and let the poor guy who just left the desert relax! That poor guy should not have to be squeezed into a center seat so you can ride in comfort to visit your relatives. Not looking to start anything here, that's just my one big pet peeve when flying chartered airlines with the military.

Well as it turns out right after I wrote my last update, my mom got a quick 2 second call saying he had to run to catch his flight home from Germany but wouldn't be getting in until 2:30am! It was supposed to be 9:30pm. He left Iraq on Monday at about 3:30pm I believe and pretty much hopped planes until he arrived in Baltimore at 2:30am this morning! He was so happy to be back on American soil! It was great. Of course by the time we got home and got to bed it was about 5:15am,:scared: and my poor DH had to leave for work at 7:30! He's been living on Espresso's and Cappacino's all morning and he NEVER drinks coffee! All in all it was a lot of fun and I'm so glad we did it.

DB was really surprised and grateful that we all treckked all the way down there to see him. I made him a gigantic sign that my parents hung on the front of the house that he got a big kick out of. I'm just sooo happy he's finally home and safe!

Thanks again to all of you for sending your well wishes, :wizard: , and prayers! It is so appreciated and I can't wait to show him this thread. I know he would be very grateful! :grouphug:

I'm glad to hear he's finally home.
