OT -Hello everyone back on board...

I haven't been on the boards lately, just got back from the DVC Member Cruise WOW!!!! Lots of gifts and surprises!! Met Deb Wills from allearsnet.com - Nice lady!!! Also met fellow DISers and guess what? NOBODY KNOWS WHO WE ARE!!!! I don't know it thats a good thing or a bad thing!?
But they think we are - dare I say it - the BUDGET BOARD!!! Ya think after all the things I have stolen - huh borrowed from the other boards for our parties they would know us by now!! Well its the weekend and I'm buying Margaritas for everyone!(went to Jimmy Buffett's in key west)

Gregg, tell us a bit more about your cruise. We just booked 10/14/2006, the Costa Maya cruise.

It was a 4 day cruise for DVC members and from what I'm told it was a "charter" and not totally like a regular DCL cruise.
First we went to key west (been there before) then day at sea, day at castaway cay (beautiful!!) and back home, well almost, we docked at Ft Lauderdale because of tropical storms off port canaveral. But true to Disney form they had buses with video and food waiting to get us back to port canaveral.
The Kids club is FANTASTIC the kids (7 & 4) didn't want to leave, leaving ALOT of time for me and mrs. odddog to enjoy!!!
You must try the rain forest at the vista spa if you like steam rooms, it was great! Also did the exotic rasul and the couples massage all very cool!!
Animators palate was GREAT a must do. We had booked Palo on line - but when we got there and read the menu (I was not impressed especially when you have to pay extra) we canceled. The food looked alot like Califonia
Grill at the Contemporary (and it looked just as pretencious!!)
I was disappointed at night, after 10:00pm ther was hardly any food, no buffets no restaurants open, I was told this wasn't normal, that because we were a charter they skipped some stuff, okay with me, we got gifts in our cabin in the morning and at turndown, so you can't blame them.
We saw both live shows, both were excellent, Hercules, loved it, and Dreams, very Disney with all the characters, son hated it daughter loved it.
Alot of character interaction, and everyone was more than helpful.
Our stateroom was inside deluxe (no window) and I thought this would bother me but the cabins are big so it really was not a problem.
Andy specifics you need just ask!
All in all I would do it again, just for the kids enjoying the Mickey pool!!!

That sounds like a great time! We enjoyed the Mickey pool when we were on the Magic 3 years ago. I think I'm ready for another drink. Anyone else?
