OT: Grrrr! Another ebay seller is using my pics and item description!

As for disabling right click, don't bother. This is so easily defeated in seconds that it's not worth the effort.
It is so easy to disable right click I would just go ahead and do it. Yes there is a super-simple way around it- but everyone might not know it, and even a savvy photo theif may just move on if they get the right click disabled message- if they could just find another photo somewhere else and save it with one click.

3. creates an invisible layer over my photo so that when the thief tries to snag it, they get the wonderful invisible layer, not the photo.
Wow- this is clever- I never thought of that. I love you smart budget board people.

PS: picassa has an easy watermark feature and it is free.

Report them!!! Ebay will end the auction. This happened to me too. It's SO annoying!!! Shame on them. :sad2:
I woke up this morning to find an email stating that eBay had removed the auction. The auction ended over 24 hours ago! :headache: Oh, well, at least it is deleted.

I have added to the thief's list of attributes - she's also a major keyword spammer (on top of image stealer, description stealer, and fee circumventer).

I figured out what she did to steal the pictures - she copied and pasted the image source code into her listing.

This is what I said in my first post two days ago. She linked directly to your photo. You could have deleted your photos at the source & she would have lost the pictures. Then you could have uploaded new pics to your auction with your watermark.

Yes, you did tell me that. :)

I couldn't delete anything from my auction because it was within 12 hours of ending. :guilty:

ETA: Like an idiot, I had the images hosted on eBay. I've since signed up with Auctiva, and now I only have to pay for the gallery pic if i want it.

Oh, I didn't know that. If anything, your thread is teaching a lot of us what to do in this situation. My photo editting program has a watermark feature. I never knew what to use it for. Now I know to also host my pics on Auctiva. :thumbsup2

I recommend Auctiva for everyone to use! :) I've seen sellers using it before, but assumed it charged a fee. Yesterday, I went to the library and skimmed an eBay for Dummies book which mentioned it. I came home and went to the site. It took me about a minute to register my account.

There are hundreds of super cute templates - all for absolutely *free.* :thumbsup2 I think you can add something like 15 images to a listing. It looks really professional - even for casual sellers like me. :)
