OT: DVR hard drive gone! Max & Ruby gone! Help!

Hello. I'm flipping out right now because when I turned on the tv this morning, I discovered that my whole DVR hard drive (we have Dish network) has been wiped out!!! The problem is that DS2 loves Max & Ruby and watches it every day and now it's gone and it's not on tv anymmore!!! I've also lost all the Great Hotels episodes of the Disney properties but those will be on again (next week, I think). Anyways, DS2 is now suffering from Max & Ruby withdrawal and it's not pretty.

I called Dish and they said that the DVR will repair itself when it detects a problem but usually shows a warning which I never saw.

I know there are a few Max & Ruby dvds but I don't think his favorite episodes are on there. Anyone ever hear of TVShows.org? It says you can download tv shows but there's no way to search what they have and they require a fee upfront. I think it's a scam.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Same thing just happened to me. It did NOT fix itself... all of our recorded shows were permanently lost, and we had to replace the DVR.

I have been recording Max and Ruby on my DVR every day on Noggin around 5:30. Do you have that children's channel? I have cable, not sure if it is on Satellite or not. Hopefully you have this channel, I know my DS loves that show!

We don't have Noggin. DH was able to rent Max & Ruby Springtime from the library. The Halloween one comes out on August 30th. We'll order the Christmas one from Amazon. Thanks for the replies.

Are there particular episodes that you want? We have a DVR and a DVD burner that we could copy them onto if I knew which ones to record and burn. I know how hard it is when little ones get so attached to a show and then it goes off the air (dd loves Angelina Ballerina and we always tivo'd it but now it is not on anymore - luckily she is happy enough with the regular dvds out there).
