anyone ever hear of someone loading up a cartridge with, like, 30 DS games? i bought a used DS from someone via ebay and they have this "offer" to load 30 games onto an R4 Game Pack Cartridge for $40. huge list of games to choose from and it is warrantied for 30 days. although it seems awfully illegal i have zero moral problem with doing this, as i think game companies overcharge big time for these games. and 30 games for $40. wow! that's a great deal.

he can also get 30 games for the DSI for $60 that work on the DS and Lite as well.

What do you all think? i have actually spoken to this person, and he is super nice. when i thought my DD's DS Lite was broken he offered to take it back for a full refund. turns out it was the cord, and he paid for a replacement. what kid of deal is this Game pack thing?

I would stay far away from that idea. If you buy it, and they catch him selling those games, they can and will get a list of other buyers who purchased them. You will be on it. I would recommend not risking it. It only takes one person whom he offers his "deal" to reporting it instead of accepting it to cause lots of trouble.

I saw an ad on Craig's List who was doing the same thing... as tempting as it sounded, I was scared that I would get something that would blow my son's DS up! How cool would it be, though!?!?

The person lived/worked about 45 minutes from us, or I honestly probably would've gotten it.

On another note, I did get a Littlest Pet Shop game for DD's DS that is counterfeit. After winning and paying for it, I got tons of emails from eBay stating the auction was closed and so forth... It does work, just like the other 2 Pet Shop games she has, but you can tell all the packaging was copied. Hard case looks identical, down to the logo. But the book and cover is a joke. Oh well.

I guess they would work, just scared to tell. Maybe if you could see the very disk you were buying played in THEIR DS first!?!?

An old neighbor used to travel a lot for work and he got something like this for an older game system from one of his overseas trips. Even overseas he said the person he got it from was a bit sketchy, so it was probably illegal there too.

I'm sure it's illegal here; not sure if it would hurt/could hurt your system or if you'd get caught. Doubt that Customs would come after an end buyer; they want the suppliers and sellers.

It shouldn't hurt your system, but is definitely illegal. He is basically taking an R4 (which btw is no longer, they shut down awhile back) which is a cartridge where you put a memory card on it, load the illegal copies on, and you can just select the games.
