Well I didn't get the promotion at work. I am still gainfully employed and I won't be miserable when I go back in after Christmas so I still have a lot to be thankful for. BUT now, I still don't have my schedule for work next year and haven't picked vacations and I have NO IDEA if I will be able to get time off for the cruise. 
I did pay it off with the notion that they would honor the mess they created and honor my vacation plans, but there are no guarantees.
I should find out my platoon assignment next week. If I get someone co-operative or better yet, the other DIS'er in the group, it should work out.
