This is true.
When my DD started showering, she had some major issues. Sometimes her hair would be greasy and a few times upon close inspection she had a yellowish build-up on her scalp.
I had to get into the shower with her and help her wash her hair and get it fully rinsed. We both have extremely thick hair. You have to actually separate it into sections and work your fingers all over the scalp to get it wet. If you just stand under the shower the water just runs off the top. Apparently, she thought that was good enough.
Her scalp still does seem dry at times, so she usually uses the H&S Intensive treatment. About once a week or so she uses a Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo to ensure that she doesn't get any yucky build-up again.
I know dd was having the rinsing problem also. At first I thought that was the flaking issue. I had made her get back into the shower a few times to re-rinse but she still seems to have the problem.
I think I'm going to try the H & S Intensive treatment once per week and then use the neutrogena for the product build up (she flat irons her hair)
Boy this girls hair is expensive lol.
thanks again for all the help.
While on the pre teen subject, what are the tweens using for skin care?
She uses the strydex pads twice daily but is still having slight problem.
Yes it does have a strong smell but it disappates pretty quickly. And if you happen to mix it with something (like water) the smell is diluted even more. I have a lot of uses for tea tree oil actually.
I was still helping her wash her hair at this point though, and am/was bad about getting water/shampoo in her face when rinsing!
