OMG! Is it generally like that around Egypt or only in certain parts?

Cairo in spite of the pyramids I didn't think was a particularly tourist friendly city. Most tourist stay in hotels such as the 5 * Hilton for good reason

Luxor is a major tourist centre and definitely we had no problem with the staff of the hotel. Old Winter Palace Think Agatha Christie death on the Nile. But stepping outside of the hotel that was a different kettle of fish

Lots of hugs to you, your post brought back many memories for me as 12 years ago on January 4th my husband (now ex) did exactly the same, only he didn't tell us he just left a note.
You WILL get through this and I agree it is sometimes better to speak to someone not close to the situation than it is to confide in family and friends.
I also had three great kids (youngest was 7) who helped me through the bad times and now I can say I came through this SO much stronger.

I really wish, despite the weather and bad exchange rate, that I could spend today in DLRP as its my buffday. Instead I have to sit at home trying to smile for my wonderful kids, 18 and 21, while they attempt to cheer me up. Why do I need cheering up on my buffday? Well on the 2nd January my New Year gift was to be told my husband that he is leaving after nearly 30 years. Perhaps I'll spend the day watching Disney films instead. Sorry to go on but sometimes its easier to talk to people on the computer you've never met rather than your own family.

Cyrano your comments about Egypt have scared me! I did wear a wedding ring when we went to Tunisia but I didnt need to bother it was fine, everyone was just nice and friendly ..... myabe its back to the drawing board!

Urgh - the microwave has just broken! Its looks like its doing everything its supposed to and yet suff stays freezing cold!

More annoying is Jack - he watched me put somehting in there, turn it on and it come out cold.

But, you know, because it was a girl who did that, he now has to stay in the kichen and retry heating things over and over. His magic man approach to setting heat level and time should do the trick!

When do you start your training?

I am good thanks & i'm enjoying my time off work, shame I have to go back next week. I'm meant to be starting my training next month. I had a message yesterday saying could I phone. Which I did & the person wasn't there & They will phone me back. I feel another round of phone tag coming on. I am getting fed up keep having to chase it up

I just hope the physio assistant job where my friend works is advertised soon so I can apply for that, as that is what I really want to do.
