OT: ChaCha

Not one question in 2 hours this morning! Very depressing. There is no hope of making top guide this week since I am going away for the weekend tomorrow and don't plan on working much after today!
I am beginning to think this has to to with the 20 question limit or a lack of funds. A system issue that takes this long to fix seems weird.

I haven't even signed onto ChaCha the past few days because it just won't do me any good. . .however, I am keeping optimistic that everything will be fixed soon. I really need to make another $500 before December 11! Come on ChaCha, you can fix this!

Have you all noticed that ChaCha has never once addressed the slowness? They talk about system performance, but never the lack of questions. I'm beginning to think that more and more are automated, and it's never going to be b2b again.

I had an IS ask if ChaCha was hurting financially in the market and whether they'll be sticking around. Of course I gave a bs answer that we have wonderful sponsors and we're here to stay. Honestly though, I'm doubtful that they'll be here forever. I mean major corporations are in big financial trouble. I don't see how they could afford to continuously fund something like ChaCha.

I thought that even if you got over 200 searches you would get the email and would be able to see your percentages? Am I wrong? I was able to get in 238 searches for the week so I thought I was alright but I'm not on the list and haven't gotten an email. I would like to know! After all the issues they said they were lowering the requirements too. Grr!

Hi All!

The TG list is out, I'm not on it for the first time since July.

I spent time at WDW last week but I did ask for and got, the consecutive pay so I'm still at .20 cents per question.

I hope you all were able to pull in over 200 for this week's list.

I'm sitting here working on my son's SS fair project in between door bells.

I've been at it on and off all week and have only reached 112 questions so far- blah...blah...blah

Next week TG look like it's might not happen for me!

All we can do is wait, wait, and wait some more. My bottom has grown roots in the darn computer chair.

I'm determined to get TG next week.

Apparently this week for some reason only those on the TG list got their performance dashboard. I did over 400 & I didn't get it either. I didn't make TG (first time in like 3 months ). I did get on the consecutive guide bonus week thingy though, so I'm still making $.20. I'd love to know what my performance was. I did not get a single QC last week and I didn't make TG? That's bunk.

Top Guide con list.

I requested it last Friday through Feedback in Knowledge base.

Here's the requirements for Con pay:

'This is the list of guides exercising their Top Guide Bonus Week by meeting the qualification of Top Guide for 3 weeks in a row. In their 4th Week these guides took under 200 searches and maintained 95% Quality and Completion, and over the 4 week period they took over 800 searches. Only guides exercising their Bonus Pay are on this list. They will still receive .20 per search for the pay week.'

How do you get the consecutive top guide pay? I don't see that I'm going to make it this week, so I'll need it next time around.

You don't have to request it, if you meet the requirements, it's automatic. My DD had under 200 searches last week, but made the requirements (TG for the previous 3 weeks, 800 or more for the 4 weeks, meet accuracy/completion 95+%). Now we're all trying just to get 200 this week, FRUSTRATING!!

I didn't have to request the continuous top guide pay either. It just happened since I made all the other requirements.

thanks, that's good to know. I think I'm up to a whopping 14 questions this week...

My only gripe is that there is NO response from HQ. I understand if it's a technical issue and that's OK, I get it. BUT, I want to know if they have a plan for the Top Guide situation. If it were MY company, I'd give everyone a "bye" week. Anyone who was on TG last week automatically carries over for a week without having to use the consecutive TG thing.

Instead of a plan or even a "we're trying to decide what to do", it's just silence which that is what makes it all seem suspicious to me.

I agree, I feel as though this silence on the traffic issue says alot. ChaCha is funded mostly through investors, we have all seen the stock market issues lately, it would not suprise me if ChaCha is hurting. Especially when you add in the .03/message Verizon thing that started November 1, right when the 20 Q limit started. I feel for those who used ChaCha to pay their bills and I think ChaCha owes a statement to the guides so people know what to expect, as the days tick by I feel they are headed down and just dont want to say it.

I don't understand why you didn't make TG if you had such a high number and no QCs.

Well, I made TG but not sure if I'll make it for next time. I'm no where near 200 and it's already Thursday. Not for lack of trying though.
Today I haven't been on yet. I've got guests coming sometimes in the next few days and I had to take some time and do some cleaning. Guess I'll hop on and see if it's any better then it had been, doesn't sound like it though.

Yea, again I didn't make TG, and I'm wondering what's up? I just started maybe 2 weeks ago, and I've done like 511 searches? This week has been terrible, haven't been on much, because it's been so slow, questions last night for me were coming in 4-5 minutes apart, all generalist, too. I guess I'll start again fresh on Sunday, and hope next Sunday-Saturday is better?

I've never ever gotten a single qc email, though my pay reflects only $48.60 (or something like that), so it's less than it should be. I know there were maybe 10 times they system logged me out all of a sudden, but I don't think it's fair I get penalized for that. Wondering if I'm answering questions wrong though and just don't know it.

How does a guide send a feedback question? I was looking for that and couldn't find it.

same here now even the chacha old-timers in the forums are saying they don't think it will go back to b2b like it was and we shouldn't count on chacha to pay bills.

I made TG this week with just above the 200 needed I was worried I didnt think I made it - since it was sooo slow... I missed it last week and that was burtal!!! I need to get poppin this week and make some SHOPPING money as my daughter and I are going shopping next Thursday --- I need to set a goal and see if I can make it!!
