Question:

I tried really hard this week to make Top Guide. I sat in front of my computer for hours with very little action.

So how did the top guide get over 3400 questions? I want to know what she does. Thanks!

The slowness issues didn't start until Thursday, I think? So she probably got most of them in before that. I'm assuming she literally breathed ChaCha during that time. And I'd say there was more than a fair possibility she had her DH or someone else doing it while she was sleeping.

She posted a reminder that those were for LAST week and she didn't start having problems until this week (and isn't doing so hot, like the rest of us). I'll be very interested to see the numbers for the top guide list next week...

mine's not picking up, but i've got 575 questions done so far, so hopefully i'll make it. i'd like to have 800 by saturday night.

same here now even the chacha old-timers in the forums are saying they don't think it will go back to b2b like it was and we shouldn't count on chacha to pay bills.

Luckily I don't NEED the money the go on the trip. I just like the feeling of paying for the trip with "extra" money. It also makes it easier for DH to accept if I can say "But I paid for it with ChaCha money!".

I feel for those who used it to pay bills. I only do around the 200 per week, so it hasn't affected me much except that I have had to be on for longer periods of time to get that amount. Although I am not sure if I will make it this week!

my DD is in school, so I chacha pretty much all day, lol, and since the slowdown, at night too as much as i can. DH is really understanding and helps out (he wants to go back to wdw too, lol). i realize chacha'ing full time is difficult for most people and i really wish the chacha ptb would take that into account along with the slowdown when figuring our totals for top guide. it's hurting a LOT of people when they don't deserve it.

I'm in my 3rd week of ChaCha and I've made TG for the last 2 weeks. Just barely in this last qualification, 250 searches.

For the next go around I'm not so confident what with it being slow, continually being booted off, etc. Matter of fact, I can't even get on right now to see where I'm at.

I was coming on to see if anyone was able to get on tonight. I haven't been able to. It keeps telling me server error, the one time the page came up it said the Specialist server had been brought down? Am I the only one that hasn't been able to get on ChaCha this evening?

I am like you - if I am home I am pretty much on the computer. I work on my laptop so I always work from about 7 pm to 1 am while we are watching tv and the kids are in bed. Then whenever I am not really doing anything I make it a point to log on. This is to pay for Christmas and Disney. Thank goodness Christmas is paid for and now I am working for Disney. As long as I can continue to manage $10 a day I should make enough for Disney but I would rather make more!!

I am like you - if I am home I am pretty much on the computer. I work on my laptop so I always work from about 7 pm to 1 am while we are watching tv and the kids are in bed. Then whenever I am not really doing anything I make it a point to log on. This is to pay for Christmas and Disney. Thank goodness Christmas is paid for and now I am working for Disney. As long as I can continue to manage $10 a day I should make enough for Disney but I would rather make more!!

i'm right there with ya, g/f! i'm determined to make at LEAST $10-$15 a day during this slowdown. my Christmas isn't done but i'm getting there. i've bought DH's, MIL's, DNephew's, and am almost through with DD's. Just leaves my parents, FIL, grandmother & cousin. geez, maybe i'm not as done as i thought, now that i see it written out, lol.

I'm very much on the fence on whether I want to continue working for ChaCha or not. When I'm making $1-$2 an hour, it hardly seems worth it. I have 4 kids that need my attention, and I can't hardly justify putting ChaCha above them, especially making so little. (Not that I would even if I were making $100 an hour, but YKWIM).

I am doing the pay me monthly, and with this latest fiasco with everyone getting such low quality rates (and most of us regular, long time TG's) and the slowness, I think it would be really hard to get $100 without a hell of a lot of time commitment. Especially if I drop to $.10. That'd be dang near impossible.

I know how you feel. I have four kids too, and used to be able to do it when my kids were in school, but now I'm having to do it when they are home and it really takes away from me doing anything else.

I do most of my ChaCha-ing in the evenings while I am doing homework. I am not sure I can commit anymore time, especially with how slow it has been. Although, tonight seems to be busier than it has (for me at least).

in case y'all don't know, the underground will be down from 8:00-8:30 a.m. tomorrow morning for maintenance and updates. based upon my experience, it will be longer than that, lol.

I still can't get to the underground. I am getting the generalist questions every 3-5 minutes. The forum is down too. They do have an update to the annual pay/search area, but I haven't seen it yet. Another wasted morning with only 3 questions.

I didn't have to request the continuous top guide pay either. It just happened since I made all the other requirements.

It's good to know that you don't have to request con pay. I did request it on Friday and did not tell anyone that they had to request it.

I wanted to make sure that ChaCha and I were on the same page and that my pay stayed at .20 cents/question.

I'm feel bad for you all that are getting question so slow. Mine are coming fairly quickly a couple a minute. I wonder why some people get ?? fast and some get them slow. I finally made a hundred for the month I never thought I was going to get there. Next month my goal is 300.00
