I'm just getting ready to take the simulator test for a guide... you guys have me freaking out

how much do you have to work to make like $250 a month?

I can answer about 50 questions in an hour, at .20 a piece that is $10 an hour, so it would take me 25 hours a month to make $250. I have a full time job (accounting 40-50 hours a week), and I still make $1200 plus a month on ChaCha. My goal is $25 on week days, $75 on weekends. With the guarenteed cash bonuses, it takes me about 5 hours to make $75 on the weekend, but I do it during DDs nap or while I watch TV.

For those that just got in...make sure you set up your categories. It will reduce the number of questions you get about subjects you know nothing about, like sports! Also, the forums a wonderful. There are sections about favorite websites to find answers. Download clippings. it will make your job soooo much faster. Beware that once you start ChaCha-ing you will want to end everything you type with " Thanks for choosing ChaCha!" or some other such phrase! Good luck!

I have my categories set-up now. I'm getting very fast at it. My goal is to make the car payment from ChaCha but I'm now past $50! Hubby says my goal should be to make car payment and gas. I can't thank who ever found out about this.

Some I can answer in about a minute. But, probably twice an hour, I'll get one that really stumps me.
I think I spend too much time trying to find the BEST answer, too. KWIM? I'll find a pretty good answer, but think maybe another source explains it better. Then there is getting my answer short enough...

I was only getting about 25 an hour until I started saving things in my favorites like jokes, male body part size, really anything I get asked at least once daily. The other thing I did was add lots of categories that are easier for me. I get tons of customer service type questions, I keep all of those saved in Word or notepad and open on my screen. I just copy and paste my saved answer over, so those take me like 15 seconds top. I added lots of sports keywords and I just keep ESPN's scoreboard up at all times, so those only take about 30 seconds.

I just got my acceptance e-mail!! I'm excited I know the money for an expeditor isn't that great, but I think it will be fun and I could really use the extra money!

No the main test. The test you have to take before you can become a guide/

if you choose the debit card option, where can you use the debit card? Does it have a Visa logo?
I'm trying to decide which option would be best. I'm not crazy about the fees, but the debit card would sure be convenient.

I found out this morning that I was accepted as an expeditor. I've taken a few questions this morning and it shows the questions in my history on the dashboard, but it still says training. So I have 0.00 earned. How long should it take for it to take me out of training mode? And will I get paid for any questions I do in the meantime?

Thanks those are awesome tips. I am going to devote just a bit of time tomorrow to getting my favorites a little more organized and putting some standard answers in Word.
I need to find like 3 jokes for each "category" and have them ready. I HATE being asked for racist jokes.

Find some racist jokes that are either about racists, or aren't offensive. I have one saved in my clippings, so I just have to go to the page and copy it out of my clippings. I used to abort all of them, because no way am I going to be sending out jokes that are degrading (i'd rather take the completion hit), but then some people in the forum posted the non-offensive ones.
