I have another question. I have signed up and received my ChaCha debit card, and when I hit the button "PAY ME NOW", how long does it take to go into the account? Thanks!

I have hit pay me now and logged into my account and it is there. So it is definately instant - it could take 5 minutes to show up but generally it is there right away.

I am a little confused. Is it 200 searches between thursday to thursday or is it sunday-saturday? Can someone clairify please?

The search period (whne you need 200 searches) goes from 12:00 am Sunday to 11:59 pm Saturday. But you get paid your top guide status from when it is announced at noon on Thursday until the following Thursday at noon.

Did anyone receive their $12 bonus from Saturday? I think I did the 120 searches, but have not received it yet.

They haven't posted the people that won the contests or got the GC Saturday or Sunday. So I am guessing with all the extra contests they did this weekend they are probably back up a little on the QC. Good luck to everyone on the cash drawings. I hope I win at least one of them.

What do you use as the "convesation link". I saw on the forum someone said there is one throug customer service, but I cannot find it.
This would be for question like "Are you having a good day?", etc.
TIA
OK, I found it. Good thing it wasn't a snake. lol

When you click "find an answer", the Customer Service Quicklinks should come up. Click on Conversation Page.. it's to the right. Use that as the source. Hope that helps!

I just got an email that they deactivated my account. They didn't say what for, but said I would be paid within 45-60 days minus any fraudulent searches. What the?

Would anyone have any idea why this might have happened?

I've been doing it as a guide for about 2 weeks. Just made top guide this past Thursday. Have not gotten any QC's other than 2 from the week before.

I'm so mad right now. I feel like they arbitrarily just pull the plug on people when they want to.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

I did send them an email. We'll see if I get a response!

Wow. I am so sorry. I hope they email and let you know why. If they do, will you please share with us.

"fraudulent searches" --that sounds odd. What does that mean? I can understand "searches with QC issues" or something like that, but faudulent has a very negative conotation, IMO.

Maybe it is a mix up and you can straighten things out. Good luck.

Seems like there are a lot of glitches. I just got an email today saying that I need to take my Generalist/Specialist test. I took it last week! And in my searches list, it says that I did ten. I don't understand how they count things! Now, I have to take it again, and hearing about all the trouble that people are having makes me think twice about even doing this!

Here's an email I got. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Anyone??

Question - What does elaborate mean?

Your Response - Elaborate means marked by complexity and richness of detail; "an elaborate lace pattern." Thanks for using ChaCha!

Your Source - http://www.definr.com/

Reason for Feedback - Citation

You cited the blank definr page instead of the page that has the actual definition on it.

How would that happen? I thought when I looked up the definition and clicked on "use as source" that it would come through with the definition?

Conway733 - I'm with you. Don't know what was wrong with your answer either. But since I've been deactivated, obviously something was wrong.

Of course, they don't give you any good feedback.

From what I have read on the forums you have to click on the word/link and it takes you to a new page and that is the page you have to link to with that site. I've never used it before and never will after reading the problems people have had. I always use Mirriam-Webster or Free Dictionary.

My sister signed up the other day. Took the simulator Sunday night and Monday afternoon she got a similar test. She retook the test and heard back from them this afternoon that she had been accepted. So apparently they are having some problems with the simulator test itself. So I would take it again and hopefully things will work out for you.

I'll remember that. Thanks for the advice! :thumbsup2

A little help, please?

If you were listing your job as a ChaCha guide on a resume, what would you list as the skills/responsibilities?

Just want to make sure that I cover them appropriately.

Thanks!

How do you cite a reverse phone number look up? I got dinged for citation. I used the reverse lookup link from the Quick Links.
Thanks,
Maggie
