OT: ChaCha

I actually didn't pass my guide training and just recieved an email about being an Expeditor...which I did pass. It seems fun and easy.

I also failed at being a guide lol. Have you been getting a lot of questions as an Expeditor? At first I wasn't but I have been getting more in the last half hour.

I also can't see my earnings. The page won't load at all actually.

i'm so frustrated with this mess! the queries are coming sooooooo SLOW it's making me nuts! answer a question, wait 3-4 minutes, answer another questions, wait 3-4 minutes...this is getting really old, really fast!

I LOVE the new console! It is WAY faster than the old way!

The questions are slow this morning but this timeof day isn't always that busy anyway! I love how the answer you highlight is automatically in the area where you can edit it!

I was watching my husband doing it and I have to agree. He used to get back to back queries. It's ridiculous.

ridiculous is an excellent word for it. it's literally giving me a headache.

i've had my keywords set since i joined ChaCha and always gotten back-to-back queries. this seems to be a very common thing-lots of guides griping about it in the ChaCha forum.

I really like the new Universe, but it's got a couple of BIG flaws. The recent history isn't working, but you can get it to pop up. You actually have to close it rather than letting it sit in a tab. I hate that. I also hate that you can't cancel a query. I had one sit there for a full minute. I couldn't do anything while it just sat like that.

Can someone please help? I was all set to take the Simulator Test today. But...I had trouble logging on this morning. Now when I log in I only get the dashboard. But if I click on knowledge base I get an error message. Is there a problem at their end or am I doing something wrong?

I know they were doing things this morning, but it's still not doing what I thought.

ANY help is really appreciated!!!

You actually don't have to click on recent history anymore. If there is any recent history it shows up in the dashboard. I have had a couple of questions where you could see them - they show up right under there - I LOVE that we won't have to click on a new tab anymore - it will already be visible on the dashboard - I think you will get two questions - for more than that then you would have to open the tab.

I only stayed logged in for about 10 minutes. I got 3 queries, but they were all asking for more information and I couldn't see the recent history (the tab/box was there, but it was empty). The ChaCha email said it wouldn't be functional right away, but there's no way to answer those types of queries without it. I decided to let it be for awhile until they get a few kinks worked out, or at least the recent history up and going!

I do think the new console will make things go faster - it seems streamlined from the 3 questions I had! I fear that a lot of queries are getting back-logged though because there are obviously some issues with the new dashboard - I suspect this is why the queries were trickling in earlier (but who knows!).

Are you saying that once you agree to accept a query you only have 2.30 minutes to answer or it will go to a different guide??? What about the hard ones to find answers to? Some questions have taken me 4-5 minutes??

If that's the case, I might just stop trying to answer the question in the best way possible and just put some jibberish and reference the ChaCha conversation page.

I took almost 5 minutes to answer a question and it stayed with me. I think if you don't accept the query in 2.5 mins it goes to another guide. I have had no problems getting queries today. They are coming back to back. It sure is hard to get out of there! I had to quit because it is time to go get DS from school and it wouldn't let me log out. One thing I don't like is the "away" button is not working. Oh and the history thing everyone else is complaining about too. Good luck everyone!

This is getting annoying, it still says my account is suspended, even though i got an email saying it is now active.

So i went to universe.chacha that everyone's talking about, tried my user name and password, and it worked... This is messed up.

Which sites play videos

Do they mean music videos, video games, movies?

Would that warrant pushing the clarify button?

At least you got that long! I was in one for literally one minute, had just saved my result page and was about to type in my answer and send when it said I had taken too long and was being sent to another guide. This is some kind of bug because I had other ones earlier that took longer than that and they didn't get sent to another guide.

I've also been kicked out of the Universe a couple of times this afternoon, once while in the middle of a question. I sure hope that doesn't count against me.

I can't get into the forums or into my account and that stinks. I hope they work on this and it's running more smoothly tomorrow.
