(SIGH)...Well, I didn't think I was going to make the 300 or 350 or whatever the quota is now, and now I KNOW I won't. You'd think since they're saving all this money now not paying the guides that they could come up with a decent system that doesn't go down every 30 seconds!!!

This is probably a dumb question, but here goes- I was trying to get to my 300 quota, but then I thought that since I am a beginner, I am only getting 0.15 per query anyway, so do I still have to do the 300? Will I go up to 0.20, or would I still be at the 0.15 until I hit the 1000 query mark anyway?

On the other hand, could I still be put down into the 0.10 category? I am so confused, lol.

Unfortunately, I think you will go down to the $.10 category. I believe I heard that on the forums over there. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

OK, less than 5 questions in an hour from 11PM EDT to 12 EDT on a Saturday night? I waited 24 minutes in between questions twice. There is no way I made the 300 cut off. I needed at least 12 questions for the last hour. I was afraid to sign out as I had to around 9 to put kids to bed, & couldn't get back on for an hour with universe being down. It stinks!!! I was so close. OH Well...

I'm confused though. Tonight was cut off for the top guide but the new pay goes into effect on 8/14. So if we don't make TG list, do we still get $.20 each between now and the 14th and then go to $.10 for the rest of the week?

Does this make sense to anyone? I guess I've taken too much cold medicine.

I am confused too. And I have been reading the forums over there everyday. It would help if they put a calendar up marking dates for cut offs etc. I am visual and so having a visual guide would help. I logged on last night thinking it would be like any other night I log on, question after question, and I think in 1 hour I actually was able to answer 3 or 4. I hit the darn space bar as soon as it dinged but it was grabbed by another guide. And then the questions didn't come. I had time to update like 10 catagories while waiting for the next question.
I was really trying to be positive and supportive of the new policy. HOWEVER in my humble, little, means nothing opinion they should have had their equipment up to par and a complete and honest way to track queries answered and QC functional BEFORE it went into place. I think any company that messes with their pay structure and then does not give their contractors or employees or whatever the proper tools is wrong. It is setting people up for failure which is never a good business move. And what kills me is the fouders of ChaCha are not some dumb teens who created this program in their basemnt. They are VERY rich and VERY smart men who are responsible for so many tech and internet advancements.
I'm sorry but these contests are bogus. I would rather them take that money and give us back our .20. And on top of that why not create a system that gets rid of guides who are full of you know what. Some of the answers I see are do out in left field. I got a follow up query about a prison and the guide before me put a link to a college sports site. REALLY????

It makes perfect sense and I'm wondering the same thing. I have no idea what happens between now and the 14th. As of this moment I'm making $.20. But isn't the weeks from Sun-Sat? So this should be new week. Then why have the new pay dealio start mid week? It's confusing as hell.

ChaCha is very steady right now. I'm getting as much in as I can before the new pay structure.

Between now and midnight on the 13th you are still making 20 cents. The Top Guide cut off last night is for the pay period of the 14th through the 20th. Pay period is Thur. to Wed. and making Top Guide runs Sun. to Sat. Hope that helps.

That explains it, but it doesn't make much sense! Why can't they keep things simple? LOL Sun to Sat should mean Sun to Sat! It's not like anyone gets paid weekly that they would be locked into a pay period like that. Trust ChaCha to make things as confusing as possible.

All I am getting today is questions about the Jewish holiday which is SOOO impossible to find answers to. The last question I had was, "when can we stqart sitting in high chairs?" I go to the official Jewish websites, but it is like reading a foreign language!
Between this and the Olympics.....I need to take a break!!!!

BTW-Is payday ON the 15th or AFTER the 15th?

I am having some problems right now. Each time I accept a question it takes forever to load. And since I am having no problems on the DISBoards, it is most likely yet another ChaCha problem.

We have to track our own. You can look through your statement on your dashboard and count. I've started writing down the number each day when I start and stop so I can keep track.

my goal for today, tomorrow and tuesday is $20.00 per day. that will make $300.00 for the last 2 weeks. i'm contemplating waiting until i log off on wednesday to transfer the money though, in case something bad happens when the new pay policy goes into effect on thursday. that way, they won't owe me any money, lol.

i keep track of my completed searches by how much money i've made. take today, for example: i made $20.00, so i completed 100 searches today. in the past week, i made $145.00, so i completed 725 searches. hopefully, even though i had a couple of boo-boos and my computer froze mid-search a few times, i'll still make top guide.
