Thanks for replying, you've been a lot of help.

The pay thing doesn't bother me too much, I plan on doing this while I'm at my real job anyway so any extra pay is a benefit. Although I will probably be able to hit their quota with my spare time.

I have emailed them a few times, I think once through the "Feedback" box so hopefully I hear from them. I haven't submitted my W-9 yet, I think I would do that after the 3 initial Assessment Tests.

Hurry up and get everything fixed, ChaCha! :)
 
I still haven't heard back from the bank on my account number and haven't received the debit card yet. They said it takes 7-14 working days, but they won't answer my question when I ask if they even got my information. :confused3

Anyone else waiting?

I wrote here yesterday that I called the bank and the "supervisor" said yes, they have my information, "but(insert his chuckle here) it will take SEVERAL WEEKSto get me my card. I can't say I've very happy about this. I asked why it would take so long since it is all via the internet and he didn't have an answer. I guess I will just have to have faith.
 
I just want to know if they have my information and they won't even tell me yes or no. Just says it take 7-14 working days. :sad2:
 

I am still waiting on my debit card as well. If I do not get it soon I will probably switch payment methods. I don't have a ton of money on there, but I want what I have earned! Especially before our trip. :)
 
am i the only one who can't access my account dashboard? i can see my profile, but not my dashboard (the tab isn't even there) and my other tabs don't work. if i click searches, it tells me i need to log in to access that page.

eta: NVM, i figured it out, lol, my bad. geez, i need more sleep!

Changing the payment plan will not speed up your payment... they still have to verify the account number that you are depositing to and that can take up to 2-3 weeks...some people longer if you read the ChaCha forum.
 
To be a top guide you have to have 300 queries in a week with 95% accuracy. While I do not have a problem with ChaCha wanting accuracy, I have a problem with the 300 queries a week.

I don't have a problem with the 300 queries, I have a problem with the accuracy. I have been a Guide since July 16th. I have over 1250 searches with NO emails from QC and I have not made "top guide" yet. If they can not prove to me why I am not making 95-100% accuracy then it is total shaddy crap that they cut my pay.
 
I have had nothing but problems with ChaCha since they announced the new pay policy. However, as of right now, I am having no problems with the Universe. I can see my earnings and I am getting a pretty constant flow of questions for an afternoon. I am still very unhappy with the new pay policy. I understand the need for accuracy, but not the need for a Guide to answer 300 questions a month.
 
I'm kinda frustrated now, as I said earlier I got errors when testing.. however, my brother just took his 3 tests, no problems at all, and was accepted to go ahead and do the simulation test. :(
 
I've had issues seeing my account balance off and on all morning. I kept getting that annoying 503 error. Seems to be working fine now though.

I've gotten the same blaster like 3x in the last week. "What is fras goie"? Too easy!
 
So, I decided to give chacha a go. I logged into the universe last night and started to answer questions. I received 2 blank queries with "${encodedQueryText}" as the query. I sent multiple feedbacks when I was dropped from sessions for no apparent reason, and the universe froze. I asked that these instances not count against my QC because of the pay for performance program. I couldn't afford to have 9 dropped sessions with only answering 60-something queries.

I asked for my account to be deactivated and for my final check to be mailed to me. With people like that deciding how much money I make, I'll look elsewhere. I am not that desperate.

A lot of people have said the exact same thing! Several others have said they did get a QC but it was wrong. They appealed it but it took a while to get overturned. At that point, you've lost your chance to make the 20 cents for the next week.

Now that I'm reading What are we doing?'s post, it's making me crazy. It just all seems wrong!
 
I'm just spit balling but, do you wonder why you can't get the system to work daysbefore they a cut our pay in half? So many want to load up and cash out, but if the system doesn't work then you/they can't. I bet it will be working perfectly after the 14th. Also, if we can't make our 300 this week than we all get paid .10 for the week of the Olympic Games-hachachacha

BTW I got a QC this last week and the QC answer WAS WRONG!!!. They said my answer was incorrect but it was not and the "example" they told me I should have given was waaaaaaaaaay wrong-even the links didn't work. I responded, but guess what, it would have knocked me down in accuracy when we go on the new system and by taking days to get straight, I would have been the one SOL.

What the hell kind of response is that?! I'd ask to be deactivated too!

I've also never gotten a QC email, nor have I made top guide. I have no idea why either. I'm at like 3000 searches so it's not for lack of volume, that's for sure. It's all bogus. I'll be sticking around until I don't make top guide and then I'm outta there.
 
I just sent a request for my quality rating. I am really careful in my answers and I am willing to bet the reason that I am not making the 95% is due to technical issues on their end. If they don't take steps to improve their quality - I won't continue working for them!
 
You will actually see that $200 - ChaCha doesn't take out taxes because you're not an employee. Your income will be reported to the IRS though, and you'll have to pay taxes on it when you do your return. You'll also be responsible for self-employment tax.

I've been an independent contractor before and didn't have to pay the SE tax.
 
As I wait to hear from ChaCha via email, I have been texting tons of easy questions to you guides to help you make an easy 20 cents with such questions as, "How are you?", "What does ChaCha mean?" (even though I already knew), "Got Milk?", etc... lol. :)

If I"m ready to quit can I just do this without picking either the pay me now or the once a month payment option? Has anyone done this? How long to get my check?
