I'm posting here because maybe someone has an answer for me.

I got my first QC letter because I couldn't find and answer the asked for more information?

If you hit the clarify button too many times, I understand that you will not remain an employee. I have never hit clarify. So, we give a half answer or just "some" link related to the question instead of being honest?

The question was- when WAS the last ER show final episode, and what station?

I'm aggravated- the last ER show has NOT been shown yet, the new season starts this September for the last season run for the show ???

My reply was that I was having no luck, could you please send more information so ChaCha could answer that question. I spent adequate time on this search and felt that I did my best.

I have seen a million times, in the forums, that people reply to please send more information and that they were not having any luck or that the information did not appear to be available at this time. I've done a ton of follow-ups when other guides asked for more information?

I don't want to ask on their forums because it's like everyone is out to get each other with all the how do I report a guide stuff. I worry about my work and don't try to police other's work- that's what QC is for, YKWIM?

I learned my lesson, I will just give the best answer I can and not be honest if I really can't locate the exact answer.

I've been busy and answered over 1900 queries so far and am rethinking this, maybe you stick out if you are working hard and draw attention? Of course, the more that you answer the more chance that you will make a mistake at times too. I guess one QC out of over 1900 questons isn't too bad, except I don't want any!

Oh man, sorry to hear that. You are right 1 out of 1900 is great work. I hit Clarify last night (my first night) but I thought it would send me another box to put in the information that I needed. Lesson learned.
I hate all the TV questions. I found a great site http://www.tv.com/special_feature/premiere-plots/ugly-betty/index.html Actually, Wiki has better information about shows but we can't use it.

I still am having problems with recent history. Do I need to open a new tab and copy/paste the Source site into that? I tried not opening a new tab and it took me out of the search I have tried getting the info in the KB but haven't found too much-even under "accessing history for a search"-it just shows you what the history screen looks like-not how to access it for a search.
Oh well, I hope I can get ahead of the learning curve. I hope they understand beginner's mistakes.

That would be frustrating - I keep waiting for a QC because I've had several lately that I just couldn't find the answer to.

For that question, I probably would have told them when the final episode from last season aired and then told them that this next season will be the last so the final episode ever hasn't aired yet.

Thanks guys for making me feel better, you see answers to not sweat it because it's a learning tool, but anyone knows that too many QC letters and you will probably not be allowed to work anymore, learning tool , nope, it's a means to get rid of bad guides.

Me too! I've high-lighted the url, copied, pasted to open a new window and lost my search more then one time- I thought I'd get in trouble for that. Now I don't even try to follow the last guide unless "more" is asked for specifically, I just answer the best that I can.

I do that ALL THE TIME. Seriously. Especially when their questions are incomplete or if I flat out can't find what they are looking for.

I just did it like 2 minutes ago on one of the other dreaded "who's so and so" search. I couldn't find this person anywhere! No spock, whitepages, myspace, etc. I found several of the same last name but none with that first name. I said as much and asked if the spelling was correct.

I have done about 1600 searches so far and no QC yet. But I realize it's only a matter of time. I think getting so far and not having gotten one yet is great! I don't think they monitor it that much, considering the number of bad answers I've seen. Not to mention the smart @ss remarks.

LoL, I have to laugh because I do some of those smart a** remarks! When I get stupid questions like "Will Steve ask me out" - the magic 8 ball always answers those. The other ones I hate are the ones about reg. people. Normally they give just a name, no state, city, or anything. I always search but usually come up with 50 of the same name. I usually tell them I need more info because I am not CIA or FBI. Sometimes I even laugh at my answers. It is fun!

I think I would have assumed that they wanted to know when the last new episode was on & would have responded the last new episode aired on XXXXXXX. ER begins its final season this fall. That way you would have covered their question either way.

I always start my people searches on zabasearch.com and odds are that more than one will come up. So then I tell them - my search found # of XXXXX. If you could give me an age or ciry/state then I can help you.

I didn't. I had already been a guide for over 2 weeks before I even chose which payment method I wanted.

The denied me after my test. The site was having lots of issues yesterday and kept running slow and even kicked me out a few times. I did send them a message to let them know I had trouble. But oh well, I guess it wasn't meant for me to do.

I took the test over a week ago and have not heard anything. Does anyone know who I would contact regarding this. No emails and when I log in It stills says training in progress.

Any ideas?

There is nothing after training status? Not in training or fully trained? That's odd!

Are you getting SMS's when you're on? If you are, then I'd say you've made it and you're a guide.

yes i have gotten 12 but on the side of the page when it comes in ambassador is highlighted not general. what does that mean?? also i was able to choose a payment method. is that another sign that i am a guide.

i thought i had taken it. answered questions just like i was doing a real search and not all of the questions i have answered are showing up in my recent searches. however the ones that are showing up in recent searches have a smiley with the word great.

Everything you've described sounds like you're taking the sim right now. I'd suggest putting yourself away and stopping for the night just in case.

If it's only showing 12 searches, then those are likely your simulator questions. When I first became a guide I started out with 16 searches b/c that's how many I did on my sim. The fact that you've been doing this evening and only show 12 searches definitely sounds like you're in the test. Not to mention the fact you're not showing a $$ amt. under earnings and it doesn't say "fully trained".

Oh and the smiley face and great don't mean anything. That's a throwback from the old ratings system.
