I've finally gotten through to the page from my invite, I enter all of my information and then... ANOTHER error message... YIKES!!!!

Same here. I was so excited to finally get through and then bam! - another error page. Maybe we'll get one step closer tomorrow:laughing: Very frustrating, though.

I'm not seeing anything about automated answers - only that a Coke Zero ad will be attached to certain messages with a link to the logo. And that's a good thing for the guides - that's how we get paid! (Advertising!) :goodvibes

True...I just wish they could find a way to do it so that we could still see the short URL in the history...makes it much easier to pick up where the last guide left off. :-)
 
I really hope the QC gets the people who just make up answers. I hate when someone texts for more info and I find out the previous guide just made the answer up. That really hurts the credibility of ChaCha and leaves other guides in a tight spot!
 

Subscribing, I applied a few days ago, and just got my invite, so now I have to study for the tests.
 
Add me to the list of people getting the error when trying to register. Was anyone able to get through today? I have E-mailed them about the issue...anyone else?
 
It was going speedy for me a few minutes ago... I had to get off and help with some kitchen cleaning, though. The thing running slowly was my websites loading. I had a long delay on the question because I couldn't find the freaking answer anywhere- and I knew I should've been able to. Drove me nuts.

EDIT: Just hopped off... it was my first night and I did over fifty searches, with some intermittent problems. I thought that thousand searches thing would be impossible, but not when they're like this! It was really hopping.

I just tried the registration page again and got the error message on the second page. I really wanted to try this, but it looks like its not going to happen.

Oh, on the autoanswers, I've had at least 5 queries that were W 10011 or whatever zip code. It was formatted correctly to get the autoanswer but it didn't go to that. I only knew what to do because I had one that said "no [rude name meaning unintelligent donkey], I asked for the weather for zip code." When I looked at their history the previous question was W 10011 and whoever got it hit the clarify button. I thought it was some sort of "text speak" that I wasn't familiar with since I am hopelessly unhip!

I have to say that there have been a ton of technical issues the last few days. Saturday night I was on for a few hours. The questions we were getting were HOURS old. I sent in a text from my phone to see if I got a response from them saying there were problems. It was never answered. I had just asked for the movie times to Journey to the Center of the Earth (which my kids and I loved, btw) so it wasn't like I asked a hard question. THere was a lot of talk about it on the forums b/c everyone was SO slow and normally Saturday night is hopping! They still haven't addressed it and said that it's taken care of or anything. Yesterday the questions and answers in history weren't matched up. You could see they were just switched but obviously there was some issue there. I love doing this but I wish they would keep us in the loop on that stuff. Just put a message up that says "we are having some technical difficulties. We are aware of it and are working on it." and then when it's resolved, let us know it's taken care of.

I had a question that said "and what exactly is the theory?". I opened up the history and there were several questions, half unaswered, some a few hours old, and even though it said the question was new, the question he was asking about was about 15 queries behind!

I'm also beginning to think that there's a group of children out there who were told that ChaCha is a free fortune-telling service! :laughing:

As for the made-up and completely wrong answers in the history, I mistakenly asked on the forum on chacha about that and if there was a way to report it, and my question got completely redone so that I asked if ChaCha checks our answers. :confused3

Silly question if I missed you saying this, but you ARE trying to access in Firefox, right? Those errors are what I get if I try to do it in IE.

I thought we didn't have to download Firefox until we got to the Sim test. I am just on the first part of the registration tests. Could that be the problem?

I didn't download firefox until taking the SIM test, I took the first part in IE...so that shouldn't be the problem...but you could try it anyway.
 
I took everything up to my Sim test in Safari. Worked fine for me. :confused3

I'm so excited- despite being approved as a guide after the pay change (I took my Sim test the day it was implemented), and I'm still getting the 20 cent pay! :cool1: It's great, as that 5 cent loss would have meant a 2.50 change in my current balance. I've earned $10 so far... relatively small, but its more than I had before!

You will be amazed at how fast it adds up! I am up to $90 and I have only been at it in my spare time since the 16th. I work a full time job and have 2 kids!! I am sooo excited! My goal is $200 a month for Christmas money.
 
I keep getting the error message on the second page as well. I also can't see the handbook when I pull up that link:confused3
 
They responded to my E-mail about the error message stating that they had some problems over the weekend, but that the site was working fine now. Well, I tried it again, at work instead of at home (and with a different computer as well) and I am still getting the error message. I E-mailed them again. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
