I am so bummed to hear about the "auto" answers. I was really excited about the chance to make this extra money and I feel like the opportunity is already slipping away. :confused3

Me too. I hope we get to do this for a while.
 
I took my simulator test last Wednesday and havent heard anything yet :confused3

Anyone eles take a while to hear back?

I took mine Tuesday night, before the cutoff/changes and got my email yesterday. Check your spam and bulk email folders.
 
the thing about auto answers is that people have to kow how to use them...they have to use the correct format and I don't really see that happening...I still get weather and stock questions. I don't think this will cut back dramatically on what we can answer.

I calculated the other day that they are currently getting about 55,000 texts a day...as they market more I see that number growing.
 
I submitted my information (first part of the process) Friday night and still haven't heard anything back. If they don't want you, do they still send an E-mail to let you know? I'm dying to get started doing this!

When I finished the first part of the testing...the 3 part where you see your scores at the end...it told me right then and there that I had been passed and would just need to complete the sim test. I didn't have to wait for another email inviting me to take the sim..hmmmm...

as long as they don't come up with an auto answer for the sex questions we will always be good to go!

I just wish they could get the server able to keep up with the traffic! when thye are working right I can answer quickly it is the waiting and waiting for the pages to load that drives me crazy!

OMG!! :scared1: Some of the sex questions crack me up! My very first question ever was "What is a Donkey Punch during sex"... I was like...uhhhh, DUH, I don't know! Had to research that one! You know I will NEVER forget that first question now and my Hubby walks around the house threatening me with a DP!

I totally agree with you regarding the server speed. When it is fast it is FUN! I love to get going super fast.
 
How long does it typically take to hear back from ChaCha after you have taken the sim test? I took the test last Friday afternoon and still have not received an email. When I log in it says Level: Master, Training Status: training in progress. Do all guides receive an email letting them know they have been accepted? :confused3

is it letting you answer questions? When you go to my account does it give you the option to select payment type?

It gives me the option to select a payment type. I just changed my status to available (I always had it on away before) so I'll see if I get any questions.

When I was waiting to hear back my status was the same (training in progress). Someone on the ChaCha forums said they heard that meant you did pass and were just in the process of being set up as a guide.

I never actualy got the acceptance email. I logged in to check and it had changed to "Level: Master, Training Status: fully trained" and questions started coming in. Once you finish the simulator test, questions won't come in until you are approved as a guide.

I am really impressed with the whole pay me now deal, I needed the money I made yesterday for something, I clicked pay me now and went right to the bank ( maybe 10 minutes top) and the money was there :goodvibes

So I will be ChaChaing as much as I can between now and Disney!!
 
I've finally gotten through to the page from my invite, I enter all of my information and then... ANOTHER error message... YIKES!!!!
 
Oh, on the autoanswers, I've had at least 5 queries that were W 10011 or whatever zip code. It was formatted correctly to get the autoanswer but it didn't go to that. I only knew what to do because I had one that said "no [rude name meaning unintelligent donkey], I asked for the weather for zip code." When I looked at their history the previous question was W 10011 and whoever got it hit the clarify button. I thought it was some sort of "text speak" that I wasn't familiar with since I am hopelessly unhip!

I have to say that there have been a ton of technical issues the last few days. Saturday night I was on for a few hours. The questions we were getting were HOURS old. I sent in a text from my phone to see if I got a response from them saying there were problems. It was never answered. I had just asked for the movie times to Journey to the Center of the Earth (which my kids and I loved, btw) so it wasn't like I asked a hard question. THere was a lot of talk about it on the forums b/c everyone was SO slow and normally Saturday night is hopping! They still haven't addressed it and said that it's taken care of or anything. Yesterday the questions and answers in history weren't matched up. You could see they were just switched but obviously there was some issue there. I love doing this but I wish they would keep us in the loop on that stuff. Just put a message up that says "we are having some technical difficulties. We are aware of it and are working on it." and then when it's resolved, let us know it's taken care of.
