If they're looking for a lower-priced seat, let me add my vote for the Cosco Scenera. I provide the car seats for my DCK, so I own somewhere between 8 and 10 of them, LOL. Six are on "permanant" install, as in they normally stay in their spots in the van, and then I have one or two I carry with me and a couple more that stay stored in the house... as they expire I get new ones.
When the 'baby' (18mos now) graduated out of his carrier, I needed something reasonable, so got the Scenera for under $40... it's not my favorite car seat I've ever owned, but it does the job and it's comfy for DDCK. If you're not going to be spending a lot of time transporting, and not something inexpensive (as car seats go,) I'd recommend it.
It's listed as just shy of $50 on the Wal-Mart site, (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8054497) but I'm pretty sure it was ten dollars less in the store when I bought it a year ago.
Do you switch car seats out every morning? I'd go crazy if I had to do that... takes enough time to load six kids, I can't imagine having to secure their car seats, too! (FTR I'm a bit of a nut about car seats so it takes me a while to get them in right... LOL)
