Safeway has them going on sale next week and we buy them for treats for our guinea pig and for us to eat, can you freeze them? Do they thaw okay?

You can freeze them but only for cooking (soup for example). I do not find any veggie is good to eat "raw" out of the freezer.

This is off-topic but I got a chuckle...

I opened my freezer last week to find a nearly-full bag of baby carrots. Apparantly, I put them there instead of the refrigerator! I pitched them.

I swear, I never did things like that when I was a younger, childless adult!

If you blanche them you can freeze them and they do not come out mushy
I do this frequently,
I steam carrots and then freeze them. Defrost a handful at a time and both my children eat them that way.

You don't have to cook them soft... just blanche them
Beth

I freeze them for cooking all the time. They don't come out the same though, so you might not like them to eat raw, but I bet your guinea pig wouldn't mind. :)

How much are they going to be on sale for?

The regular price at Aldi is about 99 cents.

Thanks for the replies. I think they're going to be 2 for $2 which is a good price around here (we don't have Aldi's). I might buy one extra bag to freeze for cooking, but I don't think I'll chance it with anymore than that, my kids like to eat them raw and they're picky, I'm too happy that they're snacking on something healthy to be upset about it, lol.
