OT-busch garden hotel

Has anyone ever stayed at the best western outside Busch gardens tampa? Last trip to BG we ended up in a HORRIBLE hotel and I don't want to make that mistake again. If not BW do you know of any other decent clean hotels in area of BG?

Haven't stayed at that one, but a year or two ago we did stay at a Doubletree Suites hotel that was very close to Busch Gardens. Very comfortable and clean.

The Embassy Suites at Busch Gardens is nice. We have stayed there several times.

The Doubletree suites right by Busch Gardens is now called the Tampa Grand Suites,I got it for a really good price on Hotwire about a month ago and thought it was really good.My only issue is that it was close to 3pm and all they had were rooms with 1 bed and the sofabed available at the time and they couldn't even guarantee us a 2 bed room to be ready by even 5pm.We were going to How-O-Scream and didn't want to arrive late so we just took the room with the 1 bed and I volunteered to do the sofabed cushion bed thing.

I have never used hotwire. Are you able to choose which hotel you are bidding on?

Hotwire blinds their hotel's names until after you've made your purchase but they do indicate the area in which the hotel is located and the star rating of the hotel. I'm pretty sure that the Doubletree, now Grand Suites, comes up as a three-star in the Busch Gardens Area. I used Priceline to get this hotel and got a little bit better price for what I assume was the same hotel offered through Hotwire.
