Hey! There is so much to do in Branson! We used to live in Bentonville, AR and Branson was our get away! Try the Copper Creek Resort Campground. It is close to everything, but feels out of the way. There is Trout Fishing and all kinds of nature. Silver Dollar City is one of our most Favorite amusement Parks and some of the shows downtown are really good! You will love it!

TableRock lake and all the sorrounding mountains are beautiful! I've heard stories of *monster* catfish!

Here's the link to that campground:

We went to Branson last July and it was wonderful. Silver Dollar City has a camp ground that I've heard great things about. Make sure you visit Moonshine Beach ($4per car), The Fish Hatchery (free), and do the Stone Hill Wine tour (excellent even good with kids, also free), visit Branson Landing for shopping. There is an outlet mall that has a disney store and a great Coach store. You can skip Celebration City unless you're really bored but see a few shows and have fun. We did.

Oh Yeah don't forget to ride the ducks. My seven year old calls Branson paradise. He likes it better than Disney because it's extremely clean and not hot. He says "they take care of their nature". We live outside of Atlanta a traffic clogged, smog infested, little city; so he really appreciated the difference.

We camp in Branson all the time. We love Table Rock State Park. If you go to Mo State Parks online there are some campsite pictures. We also like Indain Point which is a corp of engineers park very close to Silver Dollar City. Hope this information is helpful. Lori

I have good friends that live in Branson and we're down there several times a year. All of the places mentioned above are nice.
Some of it depends on what you want and where you like to camp. If you want the scenery, lake and being a little remote. Table Rock SP is great as is the Indian Point COE. My friends live across the street from the Point - COE. There are also some very nice COE campgrounds on the south side (non-Branson) side of the lake. Compton Ridge and SilverDollar City CG are "in the woods" type places with more amenities than a SP or COE. They both are a 10-20 minute drive to the attractions on the strip.

If you want to be in town and close to "the strip", most people like ABC (Americas Best Campground) This place is a favorite for rallies. It is pretty much gravel and pavement but it is very close to the shows and shopping. Not my personal favorite, but if that's your thing, it's great.

Either way, for June, make reservations!

Thanks for the help, got ressies at Cooper Creek for June 8 and passes for Silver Dollar City... Taking the fishing poles with us.:thumbsup2

We really enjoyed the Titanic Museum as well as Silver Dollar City. Branson Landing is fun for a little shopping!

Good choice, we always stay at Cooper Creek, nice people, decent campground, just a walk to the lake to trout fish. Make sure at the dock you check out the College of the Ozarks on the Bluff across the river. Also, Titanic Museum is really good. You may want to check out 1branson.com it has a lot of good info and also a talk forum much like this one that you might want to check on. Hope you have a good time. :cool1: :cool1:

We went to Branson last May and had a great time. We weren't sure where to stay, so we stayed at a small park in town. Shenanigans. It was great, but there was no fishing there. No matter what any of the ads say, nothing is really within walking distance unless you're a marathon walker. Our campground had about 40 or 50 sites. They were kind of stair stepped on a hill. Each site had a wooden deck and trees which gave you a sense of privacy. The park hosts went out of their way to be helpful and friendly--going as far as driving us to auto parts stores when our toad broke down and helping us with the repairs. The whole area is beautiful and I can't believe you would be disappointed in any place you chose to camp.
