OT: Black Outfit for Toddler

I'm looking for a plain black shirt and shorts for 2-3 T for DS costume for MNNSHP. But, no luck. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not sure about shorts but I found a pkg of thin long sleeve undershirts at Target (Fruit of the Loom or other major brand, I can't remember right now). They were in a pkg of 3 - 1 white,1 black, and 1 grey. They were in the section where all the boys underwear and socks are. I'm not sure if they had short sleeved ones or not. Just thought I'd mention it.

Not sure about shorts either, but for the shirt how about one of the craft stores like AC Moore or Michael's?

How about online for the shorts where they sometimes have a style in lots of colors (JC Penney, Land's End, LL Bean)....just a thought.

Old Navy had black shorts for toddler girls. I'm not sure about the shirt though. They are 50% off right now too!

I was also going to say try the girls department. You might find plain shorts or pants that can be shortened. I know I saw black shorts at Target today because I liked them and DD didn't!

It was always hard to find black for DS when he was that age

I remember trying to find a little black sweatsuit for my 2 year old to wear under a pumpkin costume. It was very hard finding clothes that small in black. I recall that I finally found one right before Halloween. At this time of year, it will probably be harder to find dark colors. You may have to wait until the fall clothes start hitting the store (anytime now!).

How about Walmart? I got a black sweatshirt and sweatpants last year for my daughter's Mickey costume and they were like $3-$4 each. They should have the shorts you need.

You could always just cut the legs on the sweatpants to look like shorts. Also, my sons both have Incredibles summer pajamas (look like the Incredibles suits) and they came with solid black shorts.

You could get some RIT and dye a plain tee and shorts black.

not sure what your costume is, but we have used short sleeve (and long sleeved) black dance bodysuits/tights in the past for ladybugs, cats, butterflys and more! they work great and you could just put a pair of shorts over that if still need the shorts with your costume.
