I went to my local Costco to pick up my pics tonight and as I was entering the store I noticed a sign advertising that ........

EMERIL LAGASSE was there at 4:00 p.m.

Just my luck!

But as it turns out he was still there at 6:00!

I got to meet my all time fave Celebrity Chef!

I bought his new cookbook and had him sign it!

Apparently he will be at a downtown Indigo's signing his new book also!

Unfortunately, he is camera shy so I wasn't allowed to have my pic taken with him!

I love him too! You were very lucky to catch him. Maybe he'll head west and come somewhere closer to us.

Actually, I only collect cookbooks!LOL Rarely use them! I do love using his spices though! And Yes I do say "Bam" when I use them!LOL

He was not what I expected.

He seems so outgoing on TV but here he was so reserved!

I got to shake his hand and he did stand up when I went up to the table so he has superb manners!

I think he was a little dissappointed at the small crowd that showed up. But as I kept telling them, they did a lousy job of advertising even though they claimed it was on the radio and such.

I still have to look at the recipes in the book.

I met Paul Prudhomme around 1980 in New Orleans. He was very outgoing and jovial. I had my picture taken with him, but he was too big to stand up . Even then he used an ECV to get around. The next day I ate at K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen and had one of the best meals of my life. We had to wait outside in the rain until there were seats for us and then we were seated family style with a couple celebrating their anniversary and another couple from France who didn't speak english. It was fun trying out my very rudimentary french .

FWIW, I tried Emirl's restaurant at the Citywalk and wasn't impressed.

What the heck is that????
I've heard antibiotics will help with a case of EMERIL LAGASSE.

That'll teach you for going to that place Janet!!! Costco the home of the She Devils. The place where you go to buy something for $9.95 and you come out having spent $590 and have two carts full of stuff that will probably take you 3 years to use up.

OK Carry on just wanted to vent about Costco, my DW's mecca.
