Does anyone have a child who is into Bakugan? DS8 is really into Pokemon, but a lot of his friends are now getting into Bakugan. He seems interested in it too, so I thought I'd pick up some Bakugan stuff for his Valentine's Day present. The only problem is, I'm clueless as to what to buy.

Any advice is appreciated! :goodvibes

My 10 year old is really into Bakugan. You can get those combo packs and some individual ones and he'd be happy as a clam. My son trades them with his friends at school.

We just finished our run with the batkgans. Wow, they are expensive but we have the regular ball kind and then the traps. You can't go wrong with any type of them.

I am going to list all 75 of DS on ebay tomorrow!

My son is really into Bakugan. he always gets a single one every week with his allowance. they also have combo packs which are good. I have a hard time keeping up with what he has and what he doesn't, but amazingly he knows. He also love his bakugan arena. If you keep an eye out you can get it really cheap, and it folds up into a bag when your child is done playing with it. I would suggest that you get some sort of carrying case. There are cases that look like a little box, they come with one bakugan and have spots for every bakugan individually. Or there is a thing called a bakugan tin, it comes with 2 bakugan's and is more expensive, but it holds more than the case. both of them also hold the cards also. My son loves his. We invested in them because we had bakugans laying everywhere, so these were nice to have to make sure they stayed in one place. If your child has trouble opening a bakugan they are magnetic. they normally come with a card that has a magnetic square in them to open the bakugan easily. If my son has a hard time, my husband puts it on the fridge and it opens right up. The only thing about bakugan is that they are always coming out with new ones and they can get expensive. My son's favorite one was the one he got for Christmas. It had 7 bakugan's that came together to make one. It was a little complicated to put it all together, but he loved it because it was like a transformer so it tied two of his favorite things together.

I believe this one is draganoid. A favorite of my ds too - for exactly the same reasons. Runs about $35 though :scared:

Wow....what a coincidence. I think I just stepped on a 7 in 1 Maximus Dragonoid...or whatever the heck that thing is called. DS is usually really good about putting those things away. Not tonight.

I wish I knew more about them...but I don't. DS can tell you everything about every one of his. I have no idea how he even tells them apart!

These were the big thing in DS's school last year. I actually found a clear plastic case in the craft section with a bunch of dividers - I think it was designed for beads or sewing supplies, but it fit tons Bakugan's, kept them all seperate, and was cheaper than the tins.

Thanks, everyone! I just ordered some online, along with a Bakugan handbook, so hopefully he will like it.

Our Target has some on clearance now for 50% off. You may to look there as well.

My 6 year old started with the starter kit - which had 6 Bakugan, cards and rules. Then he got really into the traps. So he started buying just traps. For Christmas, he got the 7 in 1 that was mostly traps. I can't remember the name, but it was the red one. He wants the other 7 in 1 for his birthday, though that one isn't traps.
