In the new Resident Evil movie, Toronto is not even thinly disguised as Raccoon City. The CN Tower is shown, local landmarks are in abundance, and the sight of City Hall detonating is somehow ... invigorating. So, you may or may not find it amusing, but it's interesting to do "Spot the Landmark" on the big screen.

Kungaloosh!
Morticia.

Oh really? I didn't know that the movie was shot in Toronto. I saw it last week but didn't see the CN Tower. Well, I wasn't really paying attention... the movie was kind of boring, I think. The first one was better.

Yes it was filmed in Toronto last summer. It hit the news after the had created an explosion underneath the Gardner near the EX as one of the special effects. They filmed this in the early morning hours before traffic and the local news - CITYPulse - carried it on the Breakfast Television show.

Now why would a mother of a teen and preteen know this! Because this poor desperate woman (yes, me) has a secret crush on Oded Fehr who happens to play Carlos Oliveria in the movie. I have loved him since both Mummy movies. I'm not sure whether its the accent or the long hair (now short but who cares!!!) but I definately think he is amazing! Unfortunately most of the movie was shot at night so being a working girl I could not spend late hours in downtown TO searching for my fantasy!

And please don't tell my husband!!!! (ha, ha). He already puts up with my Vin Diesel fasination!
